After a lot of trial and error, it turns out the best way to get people to stop and pat you is to just lay down right in the middle of the path.

See, sitting nice didn't actually work. She tried that first. No one stopped, they didn't see her.

So she upped her game, and laid down. The halo glowed, surely they'll see how good she is...but no one stopped.

"Be a kangaroo" said the little devil on her shoulder. She tried that. All that bouncing worked to get the attention of the passing people. They all saw her and laughed. But still, no one stopped to pat.

In a moment of defeat, she once again tried to see if her leash would allow her enough slack to go back to eating the bushes. Nope. Ugh.

When all else fails, and it turns out this is just actually really boring, she likes to just take a nap. But, you see, as a child of the dirt, she chose the dirt path to lay on.

Now very in the way, everyone stops to see her, and most of them have stayed to pat.
