Kitty City Kansas Rescue Volunteer Based Cat and Kitten Rescue We place cats and kittens in foster homes and nurture them until they are old enough and healthy enough to be adopted.

Kitty City Kansas Rescue is a licensed cat rescue and 501(c)3 non-profit group of rescuers and individuals who have an affinity for cats. We take kittens and cats from various area shelters and occasionally the public, that are too young or ill to thrive in the traditional shelter environment. Since many of the animals we take in are very small or ill, monetary support is always needed to help wit

h medical expenses. Or just make a general donation! Think you could be a great addition to our team? We are always happy to have more volunteers and foster parents come on board!

Hi!! Our medical bills have been through the roof and we need to ask for some help! Kitty City has over 100 cats and kittens in our care and the medical costs never end. Here are just a few of our kitties that need “extra” medical help. All of these adults were pulled from the kill shelters and are absolutely fabulous cats. They just need a little extra TLC and a lot extra medical care.
Shaggy - he needs a dental and extractions to get his mouth on the right track.
Gleason - our diabetic kitty who gets routine blood work and insulin.
Athena - she came to us emaciated, missing most of her fur and scabs everywhere. She is now doing great after several vet visits.
Lou - he came to us in bad shape and we are still trying to figure out his tummy issues and he will need a scope and biopsy in the near future.
These are just a few recent examples of some of the “extra” medical costs we have incurred or will in the very near future.
We appreciate you and all of the continued support from our wonderful supporters and we couldn’t do what we do without your support.

Have you met Sailor? Check him out hanging in a ready for Halloween cat bed! 🎃👻

Sailor is amongst the most vocal cats we’ve come across. You’ll never know lonely when he’s around. It’s not uncommon for him to nestle up against you or even crawl into your lap when lounging around, and you can count on him to snuggle you in bed 🛏️ at night. If that’s not your bag, just make it known and he’ll give space. Sailor loves head, chin, and mid-back scritches, but will gently let you know with a soft tooth that his belly and hind legs are out of bounds if you push those limits.

Like other smart 🧐 cats, Sailor can get restless without enough stimulation (and food for his big appetite). The best home for him is one where he’s not alone for extended periods and his family has automatic toys out and takes time to play string/wire toy with him a few times a day. He’ll likely mellow as he grows out of his young adult stage.

UPDATE - ADOPTED TOGETHER!
Looking for a Loving Home 🐾
If you have a little extra room in your home—and in your heart—please meet Chip and Norman. 💙 These two sweet boys are in need of a forever family after their mom passed away.
Both are neutered, healthy, almost 10 years old
Gentle, affectionate, and quick to adjust (they settled into my guest room in just one day!)
Chip: Snowshoe Siamese, short and sturdy with the softest coat. He's a lover.
Norman: Seal Point Siamese, tall and elegant with the sweetest, soft meow. He's a personal assistant.
Both are lap cats. They’ve been together all their lives and need to stay together. They are used to a calm home but have adjusted beautifully to change, and they’ll make the perfect companions for anyone with a cozy lap and a loving heart.

CLEO NEEDS A FUREVER HOME!!

Meet Cleopatra, a 7-year-old beauty whose favorite activities are chasing wand toys or laser pointers, and gentle belly rubs. She is a perfect companion cat and will love being near you to keep you company. She is not fond of being picked up or sitting on laps but will rest her sweet head on you during naps.

Cleopatra will need some time to adjust because she has lost her original owner and then had to move a few times. Once she trusts you, she will make your patience worthwhile. She does well with the foster home’s cat-friendly dog and mellow cats.

She doesn’t like the activity at the shelter, so she is available for home visits only. She is eligible on a trial basis since she has been with Kitty City for a while. Cleopatra is hoping to meet her forever person soon!
