🍂 Acorns Are Bad for Dogs! 🍂

Fall means beautiful leaves — and acorns on the ground. But did you know acorns can be dangerous for your dog? Acorns contain toxic tannins, can be a choking hazard, and may cause intestinal blockages. Symptoms of acorn poisoning include vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, and abdominal pain.

Keep your pet safe by supervising outdoor playtime and preventing them from eating acorns. If your dog eats any, monitor for symptoms and contact Dunwoody Animal Medical Center right away for advice!
