We just finished the last day of our free clinic on Grand Turk! We are pleased and grateful to have helped so many animals! We are so thankful for the many organizers and volunteers who made this week possible, especially the TCSPCA (Susan and Pauline) and local animal lovers (Lisa, Lisa, Cathy, Dale, Claudia, Edgar, Nikki, and SOOOO many more. Lastly, thank you to all of the 4 Leaf Rover volunteers who gave up a week of vacation to help animals here.

Adventure #492 of this week. We did it!! A group of four of us took a trip to the dump today to help a donkey who had a tin can stuck on his hoof. It was causing pain, infection, and lameness. Dr Jean, Claudia, Edgar, and Adam took some small animal sedatives (because we are small animal vets), a rope, and some tin snips and headed back to the dump. End result- success!

The 4th day of our 4th Grand Turk clinic was today. We had some really high highs and some very low lows today! Instead of telling you, we will show you with the pictures below.➡️

We saw something we hoped we would never see in this lifetime today. Someone tried to cut this stray dog’s head off with a machete. This young male dog was seen 2 days ago and was normal but went into hiding after the attack. Luckily, he stumbled into a trap today that had food in it. He is under anesthesia in the pictures but we had to euthanize him. All the muscles on the back of his neck were severed and he had no owner to care for him. There were definitely tears shed by our team. I am so thankful we were here to end his suffering. RIP Buddy! We cared about you!❤️

We have finished the 3rd day of our 5 day clinic on Grand Turk. We got a lot accomplished today! We saw some sadness (our THIRD broken leg! 😢) and had some victories (Dr Jean saved the same puppy’s life twice in one day!) One thing that’s true here- you never know what might come in the door!
