Snokomo Training Kennels owner Jim Moyer attended a Professional Dog Training Academy in Yonkers NY in 1978 At K-9 Patrol Dogs. Teaching Pet owners as well as Professional dog handlers to teach and train with a positive mind set as well as understanding the reality of dog behavior. Basic / Advanced obedience, Tracking / SAR (North American Search Dog Network), K-9 Utilization ( New York State S

heriffs Association), , AAC (auditory assistance canine), Police service dogs (North American Police Work Dog Association). Working with 4H members of all ages - including but not limited to mental / physical impairments and their dogs for 30 years (Ohio state Master 4H Leader Training), as well as Therapy dogs and Animal Evaluator ( Delta Society). Working with Humane Society / Animal shelters to better prepare pets for their new homes. Our goal is to have your FurryCanineFriends better understand their Human counterpart.

Update on the 2025 Sled Dog Derby in Baldwin Mi.
In 2025 the Sponsors Super Sprint will be held on Saturday January 25th in the open space across from the Brown Trout. The proceeds from the sponsors will be divided between Grandma's Cupboard ( baby pantry ) and the Baldwin High school band.
This year we will also be having a Weight Pull for dogs and kids games. Both are open to the Public.
We here at Derby Central would like to introduce our newest committee members
Randy and Cris Dekuiper. Both have been advisors from the conception of the idea of carrying on the long history of Sled Dog racing in Baldwin and in the state of Michigan.
