Let’s find Zara a home!! Zara has been in foster care for far too long! She has been in Texas for months, and is due to arrive in CO on 9/30. Zara loves social time with other dogs and can romp and play for hours but when it comes to toys with other dogs, sharing isn’t Zara strong suit. Meet Cowboy! 🤠

This charming young pup wandered up to a rescuer in Cleveland, TX searching for food, and now he’s safe and thriving in foster care. Cowboy is under 1 year old and bursting with playful energy. He’s dog- and cat-friendly, but especially adores having an active canine buddy to run, romp, and wrestle with. He’s a toy enthusiast, a generous sharer, and a clever boy who already knows how to sit. Cowboy is also a dream on car rides, walks like a pro on leash, and has a heart as big as Texas. He would do best in a home with another dog to keep him company. Cowboy is spirited, affectionate ready for the adventure he deserves. He is a herding breed so would need a home that is familiar with their need for exercise and herding behavior.

“Flash is a sweet, smart, loving, curious and playful pup.He loves being near his people, following his foster mom around, curling up at her feet, riding in the car, and snuggling - but he also shows great independence, exploring the gardens and the pasture, sometimess napping in another room, or choosing to sleep separate from his foster brothers and mom. He has been gentle and curious with new people in various settings - from visits to their homes, to greeting guests in his foster home, to folks he’s met on the hiking trails and at dog-friendly restaurant patios. In other words: really well-socialized and a fast learner! He’s a total love and an awesome companion, and we can’t wait for his

This is Sweet Samantha and she needs a foster or foster to adopt home starting 9/20 🙏. She is around 9 weeks old, lab mix, and is a bubbly, fun little puppy. Sadly she was found alone in a ditch in TX and her finder reached out for rescue help because they couldn’t keep her.

Poor girl had a rough start to life, but her future looks brighter 🌟

💕Adoption story - Sailor Moon 💕

Sailor Moon was an 11 week old puppy that came into an overcrowded shelter in Houston as a stray. She was scared, shut down and hiding in the corner of her kennel. No doubt the noise of the shelter was overwhelming for such a little pup. Sadly her behavior made her less adoptable and she found her life in danger as she was listed for euthanasia. Amazing volunteers (give a follow 💕) at the shelter who network these dogs brought her pics and story to our feed. We know that the shut down, scared ones often making the most rewarding transformations.

She proved us right! She spend time in a temp foster home (the amazing Katrina) and long term foster (foster superstar, Leah!) and learned how to be a dog! 🫶. With the support of her foster, she blossomed and caught the eye of an adopter looking for a companion for himself and his playful golden retriever. The rest is history!

Congrats Sailor on your forever family! Thank you to the shelter volunteers, transport, TX foster, CO foster and finally to the adopter who saw her worth! It truly takes a village ❤️

We need 3 Denver area foster homes for 3 pups arriving this Tuesday 9/9 please. All are super friendly, sweet, HW-, and good with other dogs.

They are coming to us from Houston & Cleveland, TX who have been waiting for homes for a while with another rescue in TX. It’s tough finding a forever home in a state that has an abundance of dogs begging for homes on every street, so these guys will be coming here for a new life.

Per their original rescue:
“I can say about all three that they are mild-mannered. Very sweet and people focused. They are loveable. good leash walkers. I just have nothing but good things to say about these three.”

First up is Anne Marie, a shar pei mix around 8 years old (but seems younger). She was found dumped in horrific conditions and has made a beautiful recovery. She’s around 30 lbs and is a total love bug.

Second pup is Kylee (tricolor), collie mix who’s on the calmer side. Around 3 years old and rescued from the streets with her friend (likely related), Ferguson. She’s described as friendly and is the perfect medium size pup.

Third pup is Ferguson, who is a stunning black and white retriever mix. He was found with Kylee on the streets. He is around 5 years old and has giant feather duster tail he likes to show off as he walks. In the light he almost looks red!

August was full of lots of wonderful adoptions including some of our longest foster residents! We are so happy for all of these wonderful pups finding their forever homes🩵

‼️ Fosters or foster to adopt homes still needed for 2 of the roadside puppies! They arrive on Saturday and we don’t want them to miss transport!! 🙏🏻. They can go into separate foster homes (actually we would prefer that!)

These pups are about 14 weeks and were found in TX dumped on the side of the road. Sadly two of their littermates had already been hit and killed 😢 Let’s find them great homes here in Colorado ⛰️

🌟Black Jack, Jean and Stitch🌟

Welcome to Up Pup, Black Jack, Jean and Stitch! 🥰These pups are heading to Colorado from TX in September and need foster or foster to adopt homes. They don’t need to be fostered together.

They were found on the side of the road in Onalaska, TX. Two of their siblings had already been hit and killed 🥲 Sadly someone had clearly dumped them there, which is not uncommon in this part of TX. Luckily a kind local found them, got them cleaned up, dewormed, treated their skin, and vetted and has been reaching out for rescue help. Unfortunately shelters and rescues in TX are totally overwhelmed currently. Luckily we were able to say yes to bringing them to Colorado and making them Up Pups 🙌 These 3 puppies are super sweet lab mixes, around 14 weeks old and doing great in their current TX foster home. Here’s descriptions from their foster mama:

🌟 Black Jack- He reminds me of a little cowboy with such gentleman eyes and ways. He sits first and waits patiently for his food. He will gently nudge you for love. He often takes little breaks from the others when they are playing hard and sometimes he’s right in the middle of it. He is the biggest sweetheart and just wants to snuggle and be loved.

🌟 Jean- Jean brings lots of energy! She is the big sister that always bravely does things first. She will run circles around everyone while they try to chase her. Her green gray eyes are so cool! She is a beauty! She gets along with everyone.

🌟 Stitch: He is also full of energy. He is so playful and finally figured out how to play with a ball. He loves to chase Jean and run around the yard. He definitely would love a big place to roam and also loves to sit on your lap and snuggle. He has grown so much from being scared and hiding in any corner he could find to being the first one down the stairs and outside to play.
