SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS ADOPTIONS:
These cats and kittens aren't your average friendly, adaptable family pet - they need specific environments to be safe and thrive. Please read the descriptions and think carefully about whether you can offer what they need long-term.
Daisy: This gorgeous tortie-tabby girl has had a lot of interest but her hatred of all things on 4 legs makes her a drama queen who needs a whole place to herself without any other pets. Daisy is a vocal, playful, sassy, very active 2 - 3 year old and she is very friendly with people. She can get swipey and chompy when playing or when she's fed up with you so she's not suitable for small children. A good hunter and will pick a fight with any other cat, so ideally an indoor home with a catio to help avoid fights.
Scrunchy: A little wild kitten, pale tabby, caught in our garden. Scrunchy is about 5-6 months old. She was very timid at first but we can now pat her and she loves to play with other cats. She needs someone with patience to let her warm up to them in her own time. Scrunchy has an obsession with used tea bags and will carry them around at night, leaving one on the floor for you to step on in the morning. Wool socks are also fascinating to her. Best suited to a home with no children although older quiet teens may be okay. Preferably with another playful pet companion.
Georgie: The littlest kitten in her litter, tabby Georgie is going on 9 months but is very small for her age. She is both friendly and a bit timid but when she feels safe she loves to snuggle up on a lap or in bed. She's okay with some other cats but easily scared and bullied by others. Currently her friends are a younger kitten and an old ex-tomcat. Scrunchy is very playful and craves attention. She would be okay with gentle children in a calm home environment. NOW ADOPTED 😃
Merlin: A big grey tomcat trapped on rural property, Merlin's tomcat days are over and he's not sure where he fits in yet. Estimated to be 3+ years old. He's a big cat and terrified of everything. Not ready for pats yet but will sometimes come out of his crate if I sit quietly in the catio with him, he loves to sunbath out there. Merlin will need an indoor home initially where he can take as long as he needs to slowly adapt to being a pet. For some ex-wild cats this takes many months. A room of his own is needed so he can have his own safe space. Not suitable as a pet for children and untested with other pets at this stage, although he hasn't shown any hostility towards cats coming near his crate.
Pumpkin: A chunky orange tabby, Pumpkin is also a recent ex-tom from a rural property. Age is anywhere from 3+ years. He is not at all sociable yet and stays firmly inside his crate while anyone is around. He will probably require many months of very slow adaptation to home life. An initial indoor-only home with a dedicated room of his own is needed to give him his own safe space. Not suitable as a pet for children and untested with other pets at this stage, although he hasn't shown any hostility towards cats coming near his crate. We are taking initial enquiries only for Pumpkin at this stage and he is not yet ready for adoption until he has received a standard vet check and health clearance, vaccination, microchip and desex.
