We're excited to have Dr. Melanie Uhde speak at the 2025 IACP Annual Educational Conference! She will be presenting "A Case Against Calm: Why Our Dogs Become Less Resilient in a World of Chaos".
Attendees will gain a deeper understanding on how modern society conflicts with the natural needs of a dog’s brain, why the overemphasis on calmness can actually weaken resilience, and how resilience is shaped by controllability, predictability, and exposure to stress in a way that strengthens, rather than suppresses, behavior. The presentation will discuss a holistic, dog-specific approach that fosters confidence and adaptability instead of fragile calm.
You don't want to miss Dr. Uhde's presentation! We have an incredible speaker line-up for 2025! Catch us in Savannah, Georgia on July 28-31. Get your tickets today: https://iacpdogs.org/2025-iacp-conference/
