And then there were 2… ❤️
It’s been a whirlwind weekend of puppies moving onto their forever homes and we just have little Miss Primrose left here with us until Friday. I’ve had lots of great updates from their new families with a range of positive comments, which makes my heart swell. Things like almost potty trained or using their pads with impeccable accuracy, sleeping through the night in the crate quietly, being super respectful of other pets in the house, eating well, and just generally adapting very easily to such a huge transition. I’m so proud of these little beans!

I saved the best for last ❤️

⭐️Effie ⭐️

Effie has been my most challenging puppy to date, but boy, has she ever been worth it! This girl is a testament to a responsible breeders dedication to the puppies they bring into this world. For reasons which I probably won’t ever understand, she has needed a lot of support in her short little life. For weeks, I questioned if I was doing the right thing keeping her alive, I cried daily next to the whelping box, I reached out to breeder friends and spiraled asking Dr Google what to do. My gut said she just needed more time and I’m so glad I supported her to get here. She’s unrecognizable now from that tiny, helpless baby! Firstly, she’s huge! She was always the smallest girl and now she’s a big chunk, she is obsessed with food. She’s a comedian, she’s SO funny and I can’t help but laugh (and burst with joy) when I see her throwing herself recklessly into every situation. She’s a total piranha and would probably actually eat me if I let her. She has the most incredible head tilt when you talk to her like she’s taking in every word you say. All of these puppies are incredibly special but this girl just has a piece of me. I’m so happy to share this success story, It’s truly a gift to watch her grow.

Her new Mom and Dad have been waiting for the right time to give their other Cavalier, Cedar (London Boy, from my Evie x Granger litter) a sister. When this little girl was looking for the *perfect* home, they jumped at the opportunity to commit to a lifetime of laughter with this sweet and quirky girl ❤️

⭐️ Clove ⭐️
Clove is another of those puppies that just melt your heart. They all do, really, but she has the sweetest puppy dog eyes and I swear I can hear Sarah McLaughlin singing in the background when I look at her. However, don’t be fooled, she’s actually a bit of a bully! She loves to tackle the other puppies when they are sleeping, or chase them down when they are trying to run away from her. She LOVES the ball pit! She can roll around in there forever all by herself.
She’s the most “Maja” puppy that Maja has produced. They are like 2 peas in a pod, even including the fact that they both fancy the taste of 💩… 🤮 There always seems to be one! When she’s not beating the daylights out of her siblings, she’s such a soft, sensitive girl. She’s a bit of an enigma, this one, but we love her! This little girl is staying right here with us for now so we can watch her grow ❤️. Our Fingers and toes are crossed that one day she may contribute to the next generation of Castleglen Cavaliers. For now, we are just excited to let her take the spotlight and love her!

⭐️ Louella ⭐️

Louella has been officially nicknamed “Mini Diz”. Right from when she came out, we called her that, because her markings are the exact same, a muddy brown face and the tiniest little white patch on her chin (just a few hairs!). Now that she is older, it’s apparent that she also has a temperament like Dizzy. She is fast, fun and so perceptive to what is happening around her but also has a great off switch and is quite happy to snuggle in and fall asleep in your lap. Her mom has been patiently waiting for a puppy since before my last litter went home! She wanted a dog that was active and had potential for greatness in whatever dog sports that Louella wants to do! This little cutie is definitely ready for adventure and typical to all of Dizzy’s puppies so far, is up for whatever, whenever.

⭐️ Rue ⭐️

Rue is such a love bug. She has the most beautiful rich coat and dark eyes, with a hilarious little mohawk up the middle. I call her a “Rue-ster” 😂. I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for her and she has definitely had more than her fair share of individual cuddle time with the humans, so she has that figured out and is often asking to come up on the couch with me.
She was the smallest puppy when she was born, but as evidenced by her track record of being the biggest puppy (neck and neck with Clove) for most of her life, this girl likes food! She’s great at matching energy. So if other dogs are playing nicely then she plays so nicely, but if the other dogs are being crazy than she’s happy to involve herself in that as well and she can get a bit carried away. She’s like an overstimulated toddler that needs a nap! Often in those situations somebody ends up in time-out and I swear if Rue could talk she would say “but mooooooooommm, he started it!” 😂 As someone who teaches puppy socialization classes, puppies being able to adapt to different energy levels is one of the single most important skills that we try to teach the puppies, so she’s on the right track 🥳
Looking forward to watching this beautiful girl grow up ❤️

⭐️ Peeta ⭐️

Peeta is my tiny little sweetheart. He doesn’t even look real, he’s so cute and he has a very sweet mild disposition to compliment his angelic little face. I apologize to all of the other puppies that I probably have more photos of him than anyone else 😂. He was born one of the biggest but struggled a lot after birth with weight gain. He loves to eat, but he just couldn’t compete with the more voracious, pushy puppies. He’s the only puppy right now that gets his own bowl at feeding time, outside of the pen, so he stands a chance at getting anything!
He loves nothing more than to lay on the top of the foam blocks and survey his kingdom. He’ll take a ball up there and roll it down, then jump down and grab it and do it again. He’s just a dream puppy and I would have kept him but keeping intact boys and girls together isn’t anyone’s idea of fun!! He’ll be going to live in the next best place, with one of my best friends from school. 30 years ago, she came with me to pick up my first Bernese Mountain Dog puppy and bring it home (to the same house I live in now!) and now it’s come full circle and she’s bringing her puppy home from this same house. I’m so happy to have such great homes for these precious puppies ❤️

⭐️Primrose ⭐️

Primrose
Primrose is a doll ❤️ with her tiny little stripe up her nose, she is just adorable. Her personality matches and she’s so sweet. She’s another that’s often overlooked, because she’s never naughty, she’s quiet, so easy to live with, playful and just downright cute!!
She’s a bit of a more cautious girl. She took forever to get brave enough to do the stairs. She enters new situations a bit more hesitantly, and doesn’t really get herself into trouble. She loves to be picked up and get one on one human snuggles every chance she can get, and she has the fastest waggy tail in the west! Prim’s new family fell in love with my dogs over the years and wanted a sweet, friendly puppy to add to their family and as a companion for their other little dog. I’m so happy for her that she’s going to have a built in best friend in her new home!

⭐️ Haymitch ⭐️

Haymitch is just the coolest dude, he’s such an easy puppy. He’s the perfect mix of happy, busy puppy and chill puppy. He does get the most amazing zoomies though and loves to get everyone else all fired up. Then he’ll go lay down after a few minutes and just watch the calamity, that he started, unfold. He’s quiet, and confident and even though he holds his own against his bossy brother, he’s really a lover at heart ❤️ He is as happy to sit on the couch and cuddle with you, as he is to be running those zoomies on the deck. He also likes to nibble toes and feet so socks are a must around this guy! He was chosen for his new family for his sweet, mild temperament and ability to handle everything you throw at him with a calm confidence. Love this sweet boy ❤️

⭐️ Snow ⭐️

Theres always one puppy in each litter that is just hysterical. That everything they do brings a smile to your face, and this time that is Snow. I’m not sure what it is about him but he just exudes confidence everywhere he goes. He’s adorably naughty and he doesn’t even care what you think about it. With his great big beautiful head on his chunky body, his nickname is now HuMungo. He was the smallest of the boys when they were born, but he’s now the biggest… this kid can EAT! He uses that big noggin of his to just shove everyone out of the bowl… he’s got a calorie intake he needs to get to maintain this handsome, robust physique. His favorite game to play is to grab your pant legs and just hold on for dear life, but if you pick him up to stop him, he’s just like “sorry, I won’t do it again….Until later” 😂. He’s very smart and has already figured out that running away is the best way to keep your treasures and has a bit of an independent streak that you don’t usually see in the boys. His new family is very experienced in Cavaliers and has an older bossy girl at home that is going to teach him some manners, and then a sweet old guy who will be his buddy I’m sure. They said “we don’t mind a dog that’s a little bit naughty” and I knew right then who it was going to be!

Maybe the funniest thing that’s ever happened at a puppy visit, the first time his new family came to visit, Snow backed his little bum up and pooped right on his new mom’s foot! His aim was impeccable. I guess he was staking claim on his new territory before I even knew it 😉. Looking forward to hearing about all of his antics in his new home ❤️
