This week was state for OHSET!! I made it to state in reining, working rancher, key hole, team sorting, working pairs, Canadian flags, and versatility! We got 20th in Canadian flags, I got 28th in working rancher, 20th in reining, 25th in working pairs, 15th in keyhole, 24th in versatility, and 12th in team sorting. I was very happy to what I made to state in and how my patterns went. I’m so proud of my horses and of how far we have came from meet one to making it to state in seven events. I’d say pretty darn good for my freshman year! OHSET has been such a blast this year, I have learned so much. I can’t wait to do OHSET next year!!

Little update on Dixie! 🤭

Dixie is doing so good!!! She’s gotten so much more comfortable and relaxed with me. Today she actually touched my hand with her nose! She even laid down and started itching her butt while I was standing on the fence petting my other horse next to the pen with her which is a great sign that she was relaxed with me. She has been taking steps towards me and sniffing my hand! So proud of her!! 💕✨

Making progress with miss Dixie! no tag off yet, but we’re getting there! She’s gotten a lot more comfortable around me. I’ve been working on getting closer to her and her being good with it. She was so relaxed today, and resting her foot. Even though it’s taking time to get her comfortable and pet her, it’s a great new experience for me with an older mare and just going to take time and patience! ✨
