Thanks Cerbat Cliffs Animal Hospital for always taking such good care of our guinea pigs and rabbits. This is Fern a 4-5yr old female guinea pig that I rescued on Monday. Her previous owners said she was biting and didn't want her anymore. Her body condition was rated 3/9 by Dr. Melchiors, so she's very thin. She is being treated for an upper respiratory infection and had a large cyst that was drained. The rescue is not open again, I just couldn't say no to this girl.

Even though the rescue is closed. I took Jasper back. His owners couldn't handle his typical rabbit chewing behavior. He's pretty stressed with the transition. He's such a good boy. His nails are extremely long and will be cut after he gets used to the environment again.

Rabbits are not an easy "starter" pet for children.

We recommend buying chocolate or stuffed bunnies for gifts intead of live bunnies for Easter gifts that will require a commitment for 10+ years. (Animal shelters see astronomical amounts of surrendered rabbits and dumped rabbits in the months following Easter )

Rabbits can be litter trained and make wonderful indoor companions, but they are not low maintenance.

Learn what it takes to care for a bunny. Then, if a rabbit is right for your family, consider adoption - or check out the bunnies available at https://www.petfinder.com/search/rabbits-for-adoption/?shelter_id%5B0%5D=PA164&sort%5B0%5D=recently_added

As always, our adoption process is in the best interest of the animals and placing them in the best forever homes .

Animals are not presents or gifts for the holidays but life long pets and family members . (It’s sad that this has to even be stated)

Please note : we will not be accepting the surrender of your rabbit because you didn’t know what you were getting into or your landlord won’t allow it or your boyfriend or kids are allergic . Do you homework ahead of time to prevent the possibility of these issues
