What’s with the name?

It’s kind of a weird name, right? So how did it come about and what does it mean? Our company was actually named in 2015 by my (then) 5 year old daughter. She was looking at her dad and touching his beard. She said, “Daddy, your beard is crunchy like salad!” And we looked at each other and knew we had our new business name!
