I designed this hide to emulate a pre-existing burrow that a snake would come across and inhabit in the wild; with that being said its been SUPER fun to see other animals use them as-well! My friend Debra Wilson, who you might remember from MadTV, made it known to me that her tarantulas seek refuge in them and that is just so cool to me! I don’t keep tarantulas (yet) so she was kind enough to make this video showcasing their use in that space; thanks Debra! ❤️

Over the weekend my family and I had the privilege to see behind-the-scenes in the Education Department at the AMAZING Pittsburgh Zoo!
I got an order to the Pittsburgh Zoo, so naturally I reached out to them wanting to know more, and after speaking with Beth in the Education Department, they are using a standard Python playground for Cornsnake Orville, and a mini Burrow Buddy for Fireskink Inferno! Beth offered to comp my family’s admission for the day AND show us where the animals our housed for programs! As someone who is very hard on zoo’s because im familiar with species specific husbandry; id give the Pittsburgh Zoo an A++! They do use animals for educational programs, BUT these animals have the CHOICE to be in a program, AND to be handled in the program! I truly cant thank Beth (not pictured) and Shay (pictured here) for showing me around! My daughter wanted to be in a picture with me and Shaye, and of course, my obsession with cats is no secret, so we had to get a picture with the Ultimate Predator sign!

These are the bone climbing ladders 🤗🦴 The lengths are: 9.5 inches, 13 inches & 14.5 inches. I used to use modified plant hangers, PVC pipes, and bird ladders, but I wanted to achieve the same thing but be more fun to look at and thats how these were born 😌

Ive had quite a few requests for bigger ladders and I finally got it done! Here are the bamboo climbing ladders (I’ll show the bigger bone ladders in a separate post) Lengths are: 9.5 inches, 12 inches, and 14.5 inches. Super excited for these to finally be available 🤗

Normally I do the base the same color as the playground but Ross wanted a brown base with a beige playground, and honestly I love the way they turned out! These are standard size Python Playgrounds, thank you Ross! Hope your babys enjoy!

I don’t have a personal instagram account so I figured id share this here. In my younger years I was a licensed skydiver and my absolute IDOL in the sport was Felix. He pushed the boundaries of human achievement, especially in his Redbull Stratos, jumping from 127’000 feet (a normal skydive is from 14,000 feet), along with paving the way for BASE jumpers around the world. Blue Skies Felix, and thank you for inspiring 🪽
