is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization who work to reduce the overpopulation of feral cats through the humane method Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). Operation Snip also works with low income community members by offering convenient and low cost spay and neutering services.

Big thank you for the generous donation of disinfectant and medicine! We go through large quantities of topical & oral flea medicine and dewormers because we mainly help with strays and ferals, and these are much-needed.

Every cats and ponies (and people too), Mohawk Honda will be donating a total of $30,000 to 12 local charities in the area! As we are a non-profit run by 100% volunteers, every bit can help to continue what we do. It would be amazing if we could receive some of the donation from the nice folks there. Here is how it works according to them.

About Us

Operation Snip was started by former Troy City Council President, Lynn Kopka, in March of 2012. What began as a Trap-Neuter-Return program for feral cats living throughout Troy’s abandoned buildings and alleyways, it has morphed into providing loving homes to friendly cats & kittens also found on the streets.

Our adoptable cats are available through a number of cat adoption groups. If you wish to give a cat a forever home, many of our cats go to Whiskers in Albany and Noah’s Kingdom, or check the clinics at Healthy Pet Center, Petco and PetSmart. You can also send us a message if you’d like to adopt a cat featured on our page! There are so many wonderful cats looking for a home that you will certainly find just the right cat for you and your family.

We operate solely by donation and fundraisers. If you would like to donate:
