It's been a hot minute, but what a super trip up the mountains! First time riding out of Cooinbil for me, and it was brilliant.
Iola was solid gold for her only second mountains trip- stoked with how she's maturing. There are definitely moments where we go, holy s**t she's Trooper 2.0!
Some wild navigation ensued, battling thick scrub and overgrown brumby pads, but we now have a few fabulous loops plotted out for future adventures.
Donations of sunscreen and sunglasses were made to the scrub, but some lovely campers at Blue Waterholes shared some sunscreen with us to get us back across the plains. Legends!
Apparently a few people around camp were a bit concerned about how long we were out for...
We were adventuring, Beth and Brydie style, stopping regularly for schnacks so there was no repeat of our last Wares Yards trip where we did a crazy big ride and both got hangry and both didn't think to suggest stopping and eating earlier than the planned hut lunch stop (far later than anticipated).
We went on a few little car adventures for swims which was awesome to finish off each day with!
My new float was AMAZING and made camping out of just so easy... Unsure how I've survived this long in life without a tack box, haha.
I can't wait until the next adventure!

Bucket list, tick!
Huge thanks to Alicia Gersbach for breaking in Forever Forget Me Not (Effie) for me, and producing yet another super quiet baby pony for me to thoroughly enjoy!!!
This was only my second ride on Effie since Alicia has had her for starting (though Owen had given me a couple of pony rides on her at home last year, haha), and I felt so safe and confident on her.
Like seriously... I was on her ba****ck in a halter and lead, swimming her, in a public place with cars and people everywhere! Green pony... What green pony? Who dis and what have you done with Beth?
And it's always such a joy to go riding alongside Fancy (Forever Fantasy, my first born foal, also out of Rommy)- the thrill of having the two half sisters going so beautifully together is pure happiness!

Baby pony is not such a baby anymore!
I got super brave on the weekend and took her on a spontaneous beach ride... Solo... Her second beach trip, and first one under saddle.
Iola was an absolute darling.
She was a little bit anxious, so she got quite a march up along the beach, but she absolutely loved playing in the water in the estuary, and we finished up playing in the waves on foot which she ended up deciding was quite fabulous.
I'm having so much fun with her!
