Miss Confetti came to the shelter very frightened with two pups. She quickly realized life was turning around and began to enjoy her time with the shelter staff. She finished her motherly duties recently and took off today with pilot Adam for her rescue joined by six sweet kitties….

Momma Genevieve, who moved out of the maternity ward after weaning her kittens, three little siblings that came to the shelter without their mom - Leonard, Calypso and Olive - also Kaylee the firecracker, and Pete, one of Paprika’s kittens.

You may be curious about the hodgepodge of kitties that go each time. We send them to rescue when they reach a certain weight and health status, so sometimes it’s not a complete family that goes at once, but everyone gets to go once they’re ready.

Always an adventure on our pup flights. Today pilots Jim, Ross, Scott and Doug with wife Laurie flew nine sweet souls to their rescue. Puppies Paco, Paris, Puff, Pace, Paxon and Pecos went into puppy dreamland most of the time, and older pup friends Curt and Johnny relaxed during the trip, but little chi Elvis had different ideas.

If you know chis like I know chis (I have four) you know that they aren’t thrilled about being in a crate. As pilot Scott put it, Elvis ‘has left the building’ 😂, escaping his crate during the flight, tapped Scott on the arm and asked for first class accommodations, then proceeded to take a window seat for the rest of the trip. All made it safely to their rescue and are resting comfortably this evening.

Pilot Bill started the morning bright and early to meet pilot Brad with pups Chapelle and Jockie. Chapelle is the sister of Maze and Rhianna that went to rescue a couple of weeks ago, so I’m sure they had a fun reunion when she arrived.

Pupdate🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

Last Thanksgiving we had a group of pups come in that we named the Thanksgiving Pie litter. All were named after pies. We sent them to rescue, and they were adopted. Well, this weekend one of them came back to the rescue with Dad to adopt another little one. Look how gorgeous Pecan has grown up to be!
