📊 BY THE NUMBERS - AUGUST📈
And the insanity continues...
After being slammed in July you'd think we'd try to catch our breath but no. Because there's no time for rest when lives are on the line. With the exception of a transfer from another rescue that is shutting down, the other 16 cats had no one but the people that were advocating to get them help. As I look at each face and ask myself which one I would have been content in saying no to, there are none. So again we go out in faith that things will work out. And they always do.
🐾 Celebrated 10 adoptions
🐾 In continued partnership with Boops & Beans Cat Cafe, half of our August adoptions were Cafe fosters. By the end of the month we had our 22nd B&B adoption! Much like Jitterbug in July, we had another longtimer find their forever the same month they joined the Cafe. Lucy found a true forever after waiting for 1001 days.
🐾 Welcomed 17 new cats in need into foster
Thanks to beautiful partnerships with WCJC Animal Shelter - Judy and Doug Lowrie Spay Neuter Clinic and Operation: Johnson Kitty we:
😮 Helped 5 cats to happier, healthier lives with speuter surgery
😮 2 males that can father an unlimited number of kittens in a year never got the chance to
😮 3 females that won't produce an average of 48 - 72 kittens in the next year

🔢 Currently:
85 cats in our foster program with 5 of those cats pre-adopted
Average number of days in foster 166 days (up 13 days from last month but no complaints as we had 2 longtimers land in their furrever)
Three active foster families + Boops & Beans
