Proud to be part of this amazing team!
This month our Equicall out-of-hours service for equine clinics will expand its service to cover half of England & Wales! 🐴
With the recent addition of vet Dr. Selina Squarotti in Leicestershire, the service will stretch from Cornwall to Alnorthumbria in England & across South Wales.
Equicall started in January 2019. It’s grown over 6 years into a team of 35 equine vets. This makes it one of the largest equine practices in the UK.
The team now works with 82 equine clinics in the UK - both corporate & independent practices. They provide an out-of-hours service for clients’ ‘daytime’ veterinary teams - acting as an extension of each daytime teams. Cover typically starts from 5pm to 8.30am weekdays & from 5pm Friday to 8.30am Monday weekends. Bank holidays are also covered.
Our vets are positioned geographically overlapping each other to ensure times to reach a patient are kept to a minimum. It also means if one vet is busy, other vets can move in to help - creating a supportive team atmosphere. Equicall has turned what has previously been perceived as an isolated OOH role into a team-focused approach.
In conjunction with Equicall, our partner call answering service Equicomms is now staffed by 25 veterinary nurses who offer basic advice, triage calls and reassure clients. They bridge the gap between clinics calling & passing messages to our on-call vets - providing quality care for clients & supporting our vets on the ground. 📞
Congratulations on your growth and success Equicall and Equicomms. Your teams are doing an absolutely brilliant job!
