With heavy hearts, we have some sad news. We recently said goodbye to our sweet Ginger. At over 19 years old, she had lived a full life! In recent years, she had developed chronic kidney disease and advanced arthritis, but she was finally allowed to rest on June 11, 2019.
We’ve set up a memorial website for Ginger at gingerkatze.com. While posts to this page will likely cease, we’ll continue to add pictures, videos, and stories to her site to keep her spirit alive in our hearts.
Though the emotional cost of losing her can only be absorbed by time, the financial cost was significant as well. There is an link on the site to donate towards those costs. Any donations in excess of our fundraising goal will go towards the website costs, creating a physical memorial space in our home, and donations to animal charities in her memory.
