Handsome Tuxedo Gentleman seeking forever home!

Louie is a handsome 4-year-old longhaired black-and-white tuxedo who has been loved and cared for since he was a tiny 5-week-old kitten. Sadly, due to serious health issues, his devoted owner must make the heartbreaking decision to find him a new home. Louie is affectionate in his own unique way—sometimes giving little love bites to get your attention. He prefers a calmer environment without small children but was comfortable with a dog he met in the past.

Louie would enjoy an indoor-outdoor home where he can explore safely, or an indoor home where he receives plenty of love, playtime, and companionship. His silky coat and charming personality make him a joy to have around, and with his loving nature, he’s sure to bond closely with his new family.

Today I was contacted by a person from Chalmette, LA who will be homeless in two weeks. The person is desperately trying to place two vetted/fixed adult cats.
Anyone who knows of a rescue/shelter that is closer than us that can help the owner? Or is anyone willing to adopt or transport the cats to us in Oxford?

We Are Back to Scratch😔

After spending hours and hours talking with individuals about joining our team at the Tunica Humane Society, even offering the positions to a few just to be disappointed by their later actions, I find myself feeling totally defeated tonight.

There has to be people in our area that care as much as we do about these animals. There has to be people that would be willing to make the short drive to Tunica, just to do something meaningful in their lives. There has to be people willing to work hard and give their all to something bigger and more noble than themselves.

This work isn't just about a paycheck. It's about caring about those that can't care for themselves. I can't imagine doing anything else at this point in my life.

Please pray that we find the help we need very soon at the Tunica Humane Society. My team is tired.

We have 2 different positions we are trying to fill. The pay is average because we operate 100% on donations. But the rewards of this work are life-changing. To be able to lay your head down at night, completely exhausted but knowing there are hearts beating at this very moment because of you.

Dr. Stuart Graham Denman Jr, DVM, 82, a long-time Water Valley veterinarian, died on Tuesday, July 8. Doc, as all who knew him, was born to Stuart Graham Denman Sr. and Joyce Hewlett. A celebration of life will be held at Cowart Baptist Church on Saturday, July 12. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 [.....
