🐾 Puppy News! 🐾

We’re excited to share that Aspen is pregnant and expecting puppies in August! 🎉

This is a repeat of our last litter, and we’re thrilled to see what this pairing produces again. Their previous puppies were everything we hoped for—sweet, smart, eager to please, and a joy to raise.

Sire: Apollo – CH Blacfriar Fly Me To The Moon
Dam: Aspen – GCH CH The Birches Hit The Jackpot RI CGCA TKN

Aspen and Apollo are both AKC Champions. Aspen has earned her AKC Grand Championship, Canine Good Citizen, Canine Good Citizen Advanced, and Rally Titles. They are not only beautiful, but also biddable, friendly, and a pleasure to live with.

Both parents have passed all OFA health clearances recommended by the Flat-Coated Retriever Society of America and are CHIC certified.

All puppies will be black.

We had an amazing time at the Flat-Coated Retriever Society of America National Specialty in Billings, Montana!⛰️

☀️Samson showed in Best of Breed and made the first cut — I’m beyond proud of him! That was our goal for this show, and he absolutely delivered. This was his very first time in a large entry and his first time under real pressure, and he handled it like a champ. He’s still so young, and we’re incredibly excited for what the future holds.

Presenting one that I raised on the National stage, especially one out of my sweet Kona, meant the world to me.🩷

Hush came along as Samson’s travel buddy. She got to meet so many people and got to take in all the excitement. Both dogs were such good travelers and represented our crew beautifully.

So thankful we were able to make the trip and connect with our wonderful Flat Coated Retriever community.

🪶Feather got mail! She is officially an AKC Champion of record. This is her lovely win photo from the day she finished!

🤫Hush got to go on a little trip to Grand Island, Nebraska! She got to play in Beginner Puppy. She got some pretty ribbons. She is still learning the ropes, but it was a great experience for her. She was absolutely amazing in the hotel. She took on the elevator, stairs, new environments, hanging out in her crate, and everything like a champ! She is a good girl!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! We sure do love our Mama Kona who started all of this. Shoutout to Mama Aspen for blessing us with her litter in December! Meadowlark would not be possible without our amazing Moms! 💞🌸🌷🌼💐

☀️Samson and I had a fun weekend in beautiful Utah!!!

He was awarded Best of Breed on Thursday and Friday and Select Dog on Saturday and Sunday! He came out of the weekend with 11 more points, including his last major and champion defeat for his Grand Championship requirements. I love showing this young dog! Most importantly he makes me so happy. Getting to take him on the road and enjoy him is the best!

Happy National Purebred Dog Day!!!! 🐾

I am proud to be a preservation breeder of this wonderful breed! Dogs are my life and this is all I think about. From the pedigrees, planning breedings, raising litters, placing them in the best homes, and showing them to the fancy of purebred dogs is my life and my passion!

Meadowlark had a great weekend at the Scottsbluff Kennel Club!

🪶 Feather was awarded Winners Bitch on Friday for her last two points to finish her Championship! We are so proud of our keeper from our first litter! She also got to show in the Bred By Sporting Group and got a Group 4! It was so special to be able to show one of Kona’s babies in the Bred By Group for the last time. She got to show in Best of Breed as a special with her favorite person, Izzie, for the rest of the weekend. She went Best of Opposite on Sunday for a Grand Champion major and a champion defeat!

☀️Samson was awarded Select Dog every day for three more points towards his Grand Championship.

🤫Hush got to come and socialize! She did great for her first big outing. She got to meet many people and dogs. She thought she was pretty cool getting to come and hang out with the show dogs!
