SOMETHING is drawing me to pulling this sweet girl from the shelter, but I am going to need funds BIGTIME to make this gal hapFriends of Fayeilling to donate toward her cause, please comment below with a pledge amount…. We are going to meet her tomorrow in hopes of bringing her home but she’s a medical pull so a tricky one.

UPDATE: Little Birdie did in fact find a new foster where she is equally loved AND has a fenced in yard to run and play in. Her previous foster mom did such a fantastic job getting her ready for this move to a new foster home Thank you Kristie!

🐶Ready for ADOPTION or FOSTER🐶
Sooo….Have you ever wanted a German Shepherd but feel their size might be a bit too big for your family? Boy, do we have the dog for you!
BIRDIE! This s***ky little girl could be your perfect companion! Little Birdie arrived with Friends of Faye from a local animal shelter back in June. She looked like an itty bitty chihuahua sitting there all by her lonely self in the kennel. Lo and behold, “little itty bitty” has quadrupled in size and is now a healthy 16lbs at 4 months. There is also just as much personality as there is s***k in that little body. What we can tell you about this little nugget:
🐾Spayed
🐾Housebroken
🐾Crate trained
🐾Great with kids
🐾And great with CATS
🐾Has been around farm animals
🐾Leash training is in the works

Birdie is ready to find her family! We love saving the wee ones from the shelters, but we love even more finding them a home.

NOTE: Birdie has been fostered by a most wonderful family, thank you and family, and mom is an administrator at a local school. So now that school is almost in session, Birdie would really benefit from a family that is home more and does not have to work the long school hours!
If interested in adopting, or fostering, Ms. Birdie, please go to our website at www.friendsoffaye.com and complete the adoption or foster application. We wish all staff, students and parents a wonderful back to school week!

Why we PREACH being careful with this breed and recommend pet insurance —- rarely do people listen…. It’s not really a matter of if, but when.

Small breed dogs — including dachshunds and French bulldogs — have a high risk of developing a herniated disc in their middle back, which can lead to partial or complete paralysis in the hindlegs. Until recently, the only treatment for dogs that do not respond to rest and therapy has been a costly decompressive surgery that involves removing the herniated disc.

Now, thanks to a new treatment developed by Texas A&M University professor Dr. Nick Jeffery, more dog owners will be able to afford treatment for herniated discs, which affects hundreds of thousands of dogs in the United States alone.

Learn more about the trial at https://studypages.com/s/comparison-of-an-enzyme-disc-injection-with-standard-of-care-surgery-for-treatment-of-disc-herniation-in-dogs-625895/?ref=gallery.

Coupe, our boy - needs a Miracle.

We were contacted by Coupes adopter a few months ago. We were asked if we could help with him for a short time while they worked through some stuff. Knowing the chances they would ever take him back were low, we decided to take the risk. Well, sometimes in rescue we are supposed by an outcome, and sometimes we are just not.

Coupe’s family has stopped responding to our texts.

Coupe is a very good boy, and was excellent in boarding - his foster even enrolled him in board and train to brush up on some skills he already had!

Coupe is a big goofball. A big puppy, just looking for a second, second chance.

Coupe came into our rescue in 2023 along with his NINE SIBLINGS.

COUPE NEEDS A HOME!! Please help
Us find his family.

Please apply to adopt this love bug of a boy!

Ahhh Oscar! This boy has stolen quite a few hearts but has also been through quite A LOT! Injured as a puppy, amputation needed, adopted, returned, fostered with an excellent foster, boarding and then we had a most amazing adoption application come through. Katherine had had her eye on him for a while but wanted to wait until their current dog was at least a year old…..She saw an update post on him and finally the time was right. Y’all - this family is A-Mazing. The children are so kind, loving and hilarious! Oscar has hit the jackpot and well we couldn’t be happier! Current dog Sande and Oscar absolutely hit it off! And new big sister Hannah already has plans to take him to college with her 🥰
Congratulations Oscar! I know Maggie, Hannah, mom Katherine and Charlie will love you like you’ve never known love before.
The love in that house is the juju we all need every day! Thank you Thomas family for adopting our Oscar!🐾❤️🐾

Little Tucker was found only a little over 2 weeks ago at a local park in Humble. Infested with fleas yet perky and happy as can be, this boy is doing fantastic! Tomorrow he goes in for his neuter rabies and health certificate so he can travel to his forever family! We are hoping to raise $500 to offset these costs! I hope we can do this - Hillary is taking care of Hillary and we don’t need her worrying about monies! Help us make this happen! Tucker truly got the “golden ticket!”

Friends of Faye

Rescue is a lifestyle, a calling and a community of passionate individuals working toward a common goal.

As rescuers, we all find beauty in the incomprehensible reality of Animal Welfare. We are simultaneously exhausted and hopeful.

Our main goal as pending 501c, non profit “Friends of Faye” is to offer support to our rescue community based on immediate need.

1. Owner Retention - Local shelters are inundated with animals surrendered for a myriad of reasons, frequently as a last resort. Their owners, out of options. We plan to work alongside local rescues to provide committed temporary foster options, financial assistance for required Veterinary treatment or rehoming as a last resort to owner retention.
