Our sweet little Boomer could really use your help and support right now. 🤍 ❤️‍🩹

Boomer is our miracle baby, and he’s been working so hard to gain enough weight to safely undergo surgery to remove a polyp.

This past weekend, Boomer had several frightening coughing and choking episodes that gave us a huge scare. Since then, he’s had additional bouts where I’ve had to clear large amounts of saliva and phlegm just to help him breathe again. Because of this, his doctors have decided his surgery can’t wait.

Boomer will now undergo surgery this Friday, much sooner than we ever anticipated, but it’s necessary for his safety and well-being.

If you’re able to help us cover any part of Boomer’s surgery, we would be beyond grateful. Truly, anything helps — whether it’s a donation, sharing this post, or keeping Boomer in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you so much for supporting our precious little fighter. 💙

And this big boy makes #16. I am exhausted- this was a lot of work the last few weeks. But I got them all!

I had left trail cameras at the Isanti site, to make sure we got all of the cats rescued. So thankful I had; because I started seeing this black male showing up on camera soon after I caught cowboy. Tonight was his lucky night to make it to rescue! I trapped him around 10:45, and he has his vet appointment first thing in the morning to be seen! So just in time! Big boy is going to be a sweetheart- he’s very calm and relaxed already. Can’t wait to see his true personality come out!

Welcome #16.

UPDATE:

Despite everyone’s best efforts, this boy was in liver failure, possibly from toxins. He crossed the rainbow bridge this morning 🌈 . Any other donations recieved will go towards his care yesterday in clinic. Huge shout out to Tuff Start Rescue and Dr Nicole for trying to give him a chance overnight. Unfortunately he was not able to recover 😭

When it rains, it pours 😭😭❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

This morning, this beautiful boy, Moxie took a rapid decline and fast, and is now jaundice, lethargic and hardly moving. He was just rushed up to our vet, to see what’s going on but this will be an added expense we hadn’t anticipated this week with the chaos of the Isanti case as well.

This boy is going to need a big work up to figure out what’s going on, and why he is so sick all of a sudden. I know we’ve been asking for a lot of funds lately; but we appreciate anything that can be sent to help the unexpected costs of this boy today.

Please keep Moxie in your thoughts and prayers right now ❤️‍🩹

❤️‍🩹 Isanti Cat Update ❤️‍🩹

The past few weeks have been an absolute whirlwind for our team.

A couple of weeks ago, we were called to help rescue cats that had been left behind in a house with no access to clean water, food, litter boxes, or safe living conditions. The first night was chaotic—we truly had no idea what we were walking into or how many cats were inside. That night, we rescued 7 cats.

The following day, we were able to rescue 4 more. Two days later, another 3 were safely removed from the home.

Then came Cowboy—the last remaining boy, who was understandably scared and very much not interested in being caught right away. Many of you followed along as we tried to secure him. After a few bites (to me), two trap escapes, and even a net escape, we were finally able to bring Cowboy to safety on Monday.

In total, 15 cats were rescued from the property.

This week has been nonstop. It has taken a massive team effort—working around the clock—to get everyone seen by a veterinarian, started on antibiotics and medications, and proper treatment plans in place. Many of the cats are very sick and have multiple medical issues going on.

What started as an offer to help trap “a few cats” quickly turned into a much larger and more complex rescue than we ever anticipated. Medical expenses are adding up rapidly, especially with many cats needing urgent (and very costly) dental procedures.

If you’re able to help by donating or sharing, anything would be deeply appreciated right now. Every dollar goes directly toward veterinary care, medical supplies, and food for these 15 babies.

Thank you for supporting us and for caring about these cats as much as we do. ❤️

❤️‍🩹Isanti Cats Update❤️‍🩹

We have had a very busy week this week taking care of all of our newest additions to rescue!!

All but Cowboy (caught last night) were triaged at the vet on Wednesday. Many of them are quite old, and needing a lot of TLC right now and medical care. We have a couple estimated to be 1-2 years old; but the remaining ones are estimated to be between 5-10 years old.

Today, we were able to with the help of some truly amazing people, come together and clip all of their nails, take care of medical concerns, clean out ears and treat ears and deworm everyone again. We were able to see everyone’s awesome personalities and figure out foster placements for all 15, in groups of 2-3 depending on everyone’s personalities and needs and figure out what else was needed emergently for all of them.

It truly takes a village when working big cases like this, and I truly am beyond blessed for the teamwork that has gone into this project! I couldn’t have done it without everyone’s help. We’ve had amazing holders, volunteers, fosters, and the amazing team on the ground catching and securing everyone!

As of now, we believe we finally have all of the cats removed from the property. We will continue to monitor cameras on site to make sure we truly have everyone off the property and into rescue. Everyone will continue to receive the much needed medical care and attention and will continue to have full medical support needed.

Many of these babies are quite sick, and will need a lot more extensive care- many needing dentals (some more urgently than others). Dentals are very very expensive- so if you are able to continue donating towards this case; we would greatly appreciate any and all support we can get to help continue caring for these 15 cats long term and meeting all of their medical needs!!! You can see ways to donate below!!

We will continue to update everyone how they are all doing as we go- and again, thank you to the huge team involved in this situation and everyone’s continued support!
