SuperDogs Rescue help so many dogs like Comet who are traumatised and shutdown. When I met Comet at the shelter he didn’t want anyone near him. He recoiled into the corner, quivering. With gentle care and time he is transforming! Such rewarding work.

The level of intelligence our dogs possess far surpasses that which many of us give them credit for.

My dogs know the difference between my locking or unlocking the back door. If I’m unlocking it they come running to go out but if I’m locking it they don’t bother.

They know if I’m cutting carrots which they love or parsnips which they don’t.

They know the sound of certain pairs of shoes being removed from the cupboard before they can even see them and will run in hoping for a walk if I get out a ‘walking’ pair of shoes.

And they know whose harness is whose. They all get excited at the sound of a harness being lifted off the hook but when they see the colour they will know if it’s their turn for a walk or not.

Let’s celebrate how intelligent our dogs are.

What a wonderful weekend!
As a new author it was exciting if not a little overwhelming to be talking about my book and doing book signings at the Warminster Book Festival.

A lovely experience with a wonderful bunch of organisers and it was fun making new friends.

And a fantastic opportunity to share the wonderful work of SuperDogs Rescue
