Katy turns 25 🎉 🥳 🎈

Today we had a little birthday celebration for the lovely Katy turning 25, although she still acts like a 5 year old! She wore her party hat with pride, while we enjoyed some cider and carrot cake, kindly supplied by Katys mum Victoria 🥕🧁

This week we welcomed shadow to Brown Springs Stud. Our smallest livery, yet making a big impression! A cheeky chap, full of personality! Settled lovely & made friends with the girls straight away!

Ripple appreciation post!

How good does she look?! The most easy going little horse, with a heart of gold 💛

With permission of ripples owners, we will be hoping to get her out to a local show & take her in a veteran class.

Although in her early twenties, she’s still got the heart of a 5 year old at times! And she’s very happy to show off her beautiful Welsh trot going to & from the field!

This week, we welcomed the lovely ‘Doris’ to Brown Springs Farm. Doris is 95% blind due to having cataracts. We are all really pleased at how quickly she has settled! She’s really enjoying being out with her field mate, but equally enjoying the comfort of her stable. Welcome to the team Doris 🥰

This is the lovely Apple 🍏 (picture taken this morning) she is in her early 20’s and has been with us for around 4 years on grass livery. In autumn last year, we decided with Apples mum that she just wasn’t coping living out any more, so she went on our full retirement livery package.
Apple is a very particular horse, she likes things done in a certain way, and after living out for the past 4 years, transitioning to a stable kept horse wasn’t something that happened overnight. We put a lot of time, patience and thought into Apples care plan, making sure that her stress levels were kept minimum, but also making sure she was able to be looked after properly in a stabled environment, rather than living out on the grass as that just wasn’t working for her any more. Fast forward till now, we have a very happy, healthy horse, who has come out of winter in great condition, not just physically but mentally too. She now loves her stable, thrives on routine and is living her absolute best life.

At Brown Springs Stud, each and every horse is treated as an individual, their specific needs are met with the well-being of the horse our very top priority.
