HAPPY GOTCHA DAY, CHESTER! 💚

The friendliest boy, so incredibly intelligent, and a true little star in every way.

He’s brought so much love and joy into our lives, and I love knowing he’s done the same for so many of you too. 🥹

The boy who started it all for me, who made me want to become a canine nutritionist.

Here's a photo of our little baba shortly after we brought him home.

I better go get a treat or two ready... 🤭

Chester and I can't believe that while we were busy filming the next video, our little YouTube channel reached 700 subscribers.

What started as sharing nutrition tips and little moments with my fluffy sidekicks Chester & Paddington, has somehow turned into this lovely community. We're so grateful you're here for the chaos, the tail wags, the adventures, and the boys' ongoing belief that they deserve a treat after absolutely everything.

Thank you for every view, comment, like, and kind word. Here's to the next 700 (or 70,000?).

NATIONAL RESCUE DOG DAY

Paddington is wishing all his fellow rescue pups, and their wonderful pawrents, a very happy National Rescue Dog Day!

Nutrition tip: when you first bring a rescue dog home, resist the urge to change their food straight away. They need time to settle, and a sudden switch can upset their tummy and add unnecessary stress during an already big transition.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! 💐

Whether you are an "awesome" or "pawsome" mum, we wish you a wonderful day!

Remember to keep flowers away from your pups though as some can be toxic to them. If you are unsure if yours are safe or not, I suggest you look them up.

A big smile from this little beach bum!

Nutrition tip: if your dog is like mine and can spend hours on the beach and in the water, make sure you increase the quantity of food for their next meal. On those extra active days, I tend to top up his meals with some extra lean protein, like turkey.

Also always ensure to have a water bottle for your pups. Hydration is key!

Wishing you all a lovely week ahead!

My husband got me the perfect hat this week. Not only is it gorgeous, it supports a really great foundation.

From their website: "The Fondation Mira (Mira Foundation) is a Quebec-based non-profit organization, founded in 1981, that increases the autonomy and social integration of people with visual, physical, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) disabilities by providing specially trained guide and service dogs."

If you're in Canada, you can find this hat (and many other Mira themed items) at Simon's. 💙

Meet Paddington, our quirky, tail-wagging puppy mill survivor with a story that will stay with you.

https://youtu.be/jP_eKdRh-WE

In this video, we share how this sweet boy was rescued at nearly 7 years old in heartbreaking condition, how we helped him heal through time, nutrition, care, and patience, and why his journey changed the way we see dog parenting forever.

We also talk about the reality of puppy mills, responsible adoption, and what to consider before rescuing.

Paddington is now 14.5, happy, naughty, and deeply loved.

Nutrition is a forever changing and evolving field. Staying on top of it and making the necessary tweaks is so important.

To those who celebrate: Happy Easter! 🐣

Remember to keep your dogs safe and away from food that can be toxic to them. When family gathers, it can be difficult to keep a close watch so do not be afraid to remind your guests not to feed your pups anything without asking you first. If there are small children around, make sure they do not eat chocolate right next to your fur babies.

Have a lovely day! 💚
