Lemiclabs breed one litter per year, with the aim of improving the Labrador Retriever breed. Life i We breed for quality, to be enjoyed as family companions.

Lemiclabs is set on 40 acres in North East Victoria, between Benalla and Mansfield. Our dogs are special family members and have a home with us for their entire lives. We believe our home and property provides the perfect surroundings for our Labs to be happy, healthy, loved and contented. We are members of Dogs Victoria and The Labrador Club of Victoria. Our Labs are bred for the beautiful Labrad

or Retriever temperament, soundness and type. All puppies are sold registered with Dogs Victoria, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped and come with a comprehensive puppy pack and 6 weeks of pet insurance. Should a Lemiclabs puppy become a member of your family, they will need to be loved, valued and be involved in your life.

About one week ago poor Nera bent one of her toenails right back - ouchie 😞
Yes there was lots of blood, no we do not know how it happened and trying to convince Nera to sit still instead of running around playing, oblivious, took more than one doggy treat.
Following stopping the bleeding, initial clean up and nail trim, Nera has been a very good girl with daily checks and salt water cleans, but even with this care, Nera began to develop an infection. So, off to Delatite Vets for wonderful care from Dr Chloe. Nera's toenail has been removed and she is now on a short course of antibiotic and anti inflammatory medication.
🤞all heals up quickly.

It is a bitter-sweet post Lemiclabs make - we are truly grateful Stella is a happy, healthy, live 2 year old Labby and much appreciation is shared with her family and Delatite Veterinary Services ❤️
Unfortunately, Stella developed a serious uterine infection, Pyometra, and required emergency surgery. Unfortunately, this means Stella is unable to have puppies of her own, as her surgery required her to be speyed 😞
Lemiclabs emphasise the point that, entire female dogs are at risk of developing Pyometra, and, if you are not intending to ethically breed, please ensure your female Labradors are desexed between the age of 18-24 months.

So, as you know, the beautiful Stella stayed with us recently. However, even the best laid plans can have 'speed bumps'. Both Stella's Mum as well as us have felt very disappointed over the last two days :( A pregnancy we were very much hoping for, did not eventuate.
Mother Nature had her own plan.
It's wonderful that Stella has such a supportive family, especially one of her brothers ❤️
