Survived county fair with my flaming hot turd 😂 He’s definitely been a 2/3yr old which sometimes has been a real challenge for me. However, we did qualify for state fair this year in ground training. We will be at the fair grounds Saturday 8/24.
After fair it is a possibility Beau will be up for discussion. He’s super smart and a wonderful horse but could use a more experienced leader. If anyone on this page is interested please reach out. Thank you.

This past weekend we had horse pre-fair. I enjoyed seeing all my horse friends and watching the gaming events. Even though Beau was super spicy the first day he did pretty well the 2nd day (minus the warm up time.) His new nickname is Sr. Spicy Turd Piranha. Having a 2yr old horse has been more challenging than it was when we first brought him home. Thankful for all the continued support. Linn County Horse Fair is August 3rd-7th. I’ll be doing ground training and showman ship this year.

Little update about Beau. We haven’t been doing much during the winter months. He’s just been growing! He lost the baby tooth he broke back in September and his adult tooth is coming in. He’s been taped and is estimated to grow to be 16h 😳 gonna be a tall boy! I joined horse 4-H and Hippology (a horse knowledge 4-H competition group.) Been learning a lot with both groups. Beau has been able to go to new places and learn new things. Both of my 4-H groups are looking for donations/sponsorships to help cover costs of trips, stalls, equipment. If anyone is interested in donating, donations are 100% tax free, please let me know and I can get you the forms. Can’t wait for summer time and playing in the water again with Beau!

It’s been a few months since we’ve really done anything together (minus daily chores). But Beau is doing good. We went to the Oregon Horse Center and did the indoor trail. Beau did great with it all except the wooden donkey, he really didn’t like that at first.

No idea what place they got but doesn’t matter. She got what she wanted and that was to take Beau home! Welcome to your forever home Beau!!
Thank you to everyone who has followed Emily and Beaus journey. Thank you to those who didn’t bid on him knowing she really wanted to keep him. You made our daughter so happy! We will continue to updated their progress from time to time.

If anyone who’s liked or followed Emily and Beaus journey is interested in adopting Beau next weekend please reach out and let us know. Emily is starting to panic a little because she wants to make sure he has the perfect home. Beau needs a strong leader, someone who understands baby/teen horses and will treat him kindly. She’s on the fence about keeping him, he’s a good boy, but I think if she knew he’d be in good hands it would help her make a confident decision. Thank you

Got to take Beau to the Beach for the first time! He LOVED the sand but did not like the salty water. About 2 weeks left before my time with him is done and he moves on to his forever home.
