Springing forward signals Spring Break, Summer Vacation and Fall Foliage are now ahead of us. What better time than to think about travelling to Traverse City! Tonight we are starting our Condo Waffle. For $20, you can enter a drawing for a 3 night stay and help dogs at the same time. You can choose any open dates, any season, any days of the week. There are no blackout dates.
As last time, simply send in your $20 by way of Paypal(which does deduct a fee) Venmo, or mail a check. I will then give you a number. The winning number will be drawn April 1st.

UPDATE: I can get 8 Ball vaccinated and neutered this Friday. Problem he has nowhere to go after surgery unless he goes back to his parents who are using and I doubt can care for him. Anyone? even temporary?

Meet 8 Ball. He is a sweet one year old dog who loves to play and does well with other dogs. Unfortunately 8 Ball's parents are having a difficult time. They are working with the group in Detroit called Face Addiction. Since they need to work on themselves, they cannot give 8 Ball the home he needs. Although they love him very much, they want him to be safe and have a loving home. 8 Ball is not neutered yet but Hank's Heroes will get that scheduled and pay for it. Again, as usual, our major problem is getting a foster. If you can help, please pm me.

Penny, Peanut, Sandy, Adele, Stella and 8 Ball are desperate for fosters. We need people who are committed and don't put in an app and then disappear. We do not know how they are with cats but Penny , Peanut, and 8 Ball are good with other dogs.

Sandy will be ready for a foster on April 3rd. She will have completed her heart worm treatment and hopes to settle down somewhere. Sandy is a shepherd mix, 3 to 4 yrs old. She is utd on vacs, spayed and now heart worm free. Sandy is aloof to other dogs but will still need a slow intro. She has not had one accident in her kennel. Sandy really needs a foster or fta.

Flirt- 1 year old, neutered, black lab mix- can be nervous of new environments, but has been lovely

Scruffleupagus- 1 year old, neutered, doodle type dog- very silly and sweet

Ivan- 5 months, neutered, Pyre mix

Silky- 4 year old, spayed, GSD- takes a while to warm up to men but is comfortable with women

Yogi- 1 year old, neutered, JRT- very sweet was fearful of cats

Solo- 9 month old, neutered, Lhasa Apso mix

Napoleon- 1 year old, neutered, very petite cattle dog mix

Tavern- 9 months, neutered, Corso mix

North Peak- 2 year old, neutered, pit/husky mix- total goober

Ivory- 1 ½ year old, spayed, pit/shar pei mix

It's orientation time again. Attend this orientation and you get to help Hank's Heroes make money to help more animals, have fun and get a t shirt. The orientation is just listening to a speaker for 45 mins. You do it once and you get to work any event that you sign up for with Hank's Heroes. The more people we have, the more money we get. Orientation for March is Tuesday, March 11 and Wed. March 19 at 6pm prompt. It's at the Glass City in Toledo at 401 Jefferson Ave. You can part on the street or in the parking garage off Monroe St. and Eric will validate your fee. The meeting is on the 3rd floor and the room is straight ahead off the elevator. You could help work Mud Hens opening weekend March 28, 29 and 30. I will be glad to drive you to the orientation, just lmk.
