Did you know that not every cat you see outside has a home to go back to?

Some of the cats in our neighborhoods are community cats, meaning they are unowned and live outdoors, often in the same area for most of their lives. While it isn't an ideal situation, it is a reality in many communities, and there is a humane way to help.

Santa Barbara Humane offers a free Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program to support these cats. They are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and returned to the area they know. This approach helps prevent new litters, reduces behaviors like fighting and roaming, and improves overall health for the cats and the community around them.
