Year three was a year of building. It was my second year partnering with , and built my very first piece of agility equipment woohoo! I
leaned deeper into patience and kindness with the humans on the other end of the leash, and more clarity with the dogs in front of me.
For me, Pawlite Pups has always been about more than training. It is about giving dogs a real chance. This business has opened doors I never imagined, and now I’m dreaming even bigger: creating more opportunities, launching more ventures, and one day opening a nonprofit dedicated to helping and saving more dogs.

Come move, connect, and treat your pup to something special. We’ll start with a structured pack walk to help your dog release energy, build confidence, and practice calm socializing—then head to Raleigh Brewing for a homemade doggie ice cream bar designed with your pup’s well-being in mind.

🐕 Confidence-building walk with a supportive crew
🍦 House-made dog-safe ice cream
🫐 20 dog-friendly toppings for your pup to explore

I’m pansexual.
And I’m a dog trainer—one who’s learned more about love, safety, and trust from dogs than almost anything else.

Dogs don’t care who you love.
They care how you show up.
They notice your energy, your patterns, your presence. They meet you where you are—without judgment, without conditions.

That’s shaped everything about how I train, and how I live. It’s why I built Pawlite Pups the way I did—with compassion, clarity, and room for people (and dogs) to just be themselves.

I carry privilege—being white, being femme, being partnered with a straight white male who makes me feel safe in a world that often isn’t. I don’t carry shame for that. I carry responsibility.

Because Pride isn’t just about celebration. It’s about courage. It’s about showing up—especially when it’s uncomfortable. Especially when others can’t.

So this month, and always: I’m here. I’m proud. And I’m building something that feels like freedom.

Being a dog mom means everything to me—it’s the only title I’ve ever really wanted. No one tells you that building your dream life comes with tangled leashes, treat crumbs in your pockets, and more late-night Canva than sleep… but here we are.

This is the busiest month I’ve ever had, and it’s only happening because of the people who show up, share, and remind me that what I’m building matters. To all the dog moms out there—the ones who chose this life with full hearts and zero hesitation—I see you. I’m with you. And I’m building this for us.

This Earth Day, I’m reminded that sustainability isn’t just about the planet — it’s about how we show up for our dogs, our communities, and the spaces we all share.

The small choices I make in my work and daily routines are starting to feel like something bigger. I’ve started using , a local farm delivery service, which has connected me more deeply to the food I eat, the people growing it, and the impact those choices have on our environment. I pick up trash on dog walks — not because it’s my job, but because our dogs deserve to explore a cleaner, safer world. And I’m choosing to avoid dog treats, food, and gear that are harmful to their health or the planet’s. Cheap plastic toys, unnecessary packaging, low-quality filler ingredients — it all adds up.

This work is about more than training. It’s about helping people raise dogs with intention — and that means thinking about what we consume, how we walk through the world, and how our choices affect those who can’t speak for themselves. Supporting local farms, buying responsibly, and keeping our trails and sidewalks clean isn’t just good for the planet — it’s an extension of how we care for our dogs.

If this speaks to you, I’d love to start sharing more about how we can train, live, and care in ways that do less harm and give more back. Because Earth Day shouldn’t be once a year — and raising a dog with respect should include the ground they walk on.

Being a woman in business—especially in spaces built by men—isn’t just about showing up. It’s about standing unshaken in the face of doubt. It’s about speaking louder when we’re told to be quiet. It’s about proving, over and over, that we are not here by accident—we are here because we built this.

Dogs have shown me what leadership truly means. It isn’t about control, force, or ego. It’s about trust, patience, and the quiet power of consistency. In a world that too often confuses strength with aggression and kindness with weakness, I choose to lead the way they do—with resilience, with purpose, and with the unwavering belief that change is not only possible, but necessary.

As women, we know what it means to fight for space. To be overlooked. To be questioned. But like every dog I’ve ever worked with, I know this: when given the right tools, the right support, and the freedom to step into our power, there is nothing we cannot do.
