🎉 Join us tomorrow for the return of NEWARK NITE! 🎉

After being a beloved Downtown Newark tradition for nearly 30 years, and taking a 5+ year hiatus, we are beyond excited to celebrate the revival of Newark Nite on Main Street to kick off the summer!

Newark Nite has always been known for bringing the community together to experience everything our city has to offer, featuring live performers, games, local vendors, family-friendly fun, and so much more right in the heart of downtown.

As we bring this tradition back in 2026, we’re expecting a wonderful mix of nostalgia for those who’ve enjoyed it in the past and a renewed excitement for what’s ahead for Newark’s future events.

🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, we remember and honor the courageous service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. As many gather with family, enjoy time outdoors, and celebrate the holiday, we also take a moment to reflect on the meaning behind today and those we remember. ❤️🤍💙

First State Urgent Vet is closed today in observance of Memorial Day, but we’ll be back tomorrow from 10am–7pm and ready to help your pets when you need us. Have a safe holiday, and don’t forget to keep your furry friends safe during the festivities! 🐾

As Memorial Day approaches, we take a moment to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.🙏🏻

In observance of the holiday:
We will be open Sunday, May 24th from 10am to 7pm
Closed on Memorial Day (Monday, May 25th)
Reopening with normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26th at 10am

First State Urgent Vet is excited to be a vendor at the Downtown Wilmington Farmers’ Market. Catch us on select Wednesdays from May through October!🐾 The market takes place every Wednesday, May 5–October 28, from 10 AM–2 PM, so be sure to stop by and see us on the dates we’ll be there!

Come say hello, grab some goodies, and enjoy everything the market has to offer, from fresh local produce, plants, flowers, handmade gifts, and delicious baked treats to live entertainment, breakfast, and lunch in the heart of downtown. 💛
