Update on Little Simba:

She has completed the 3 surgeries to fix all 3 limbs. Right now she’s still unable to move much, but we’re hopefully that she will try to prop herself up soon with the help of the vets. She will need to be admitted and observed for another 2 weeks, then we’re moving her to a foster’s home to fully recover, before we bring her to shelter.

Here is an update on the funds:
Received by Humblepaw: RM5,771
Received by BPVC: RM1,515
Paid so far: RM5,000 for surgery deposit

Dogs walk on all fours. Imagine if 3 are fractured? 😭

On 28th April, we found a dog lying by the side of the road on Jalan Meranti. One of the guys at the nearby Nasi Kandar said a car hit her while she was crossing the road, and she got flung into the air and crashed on the pavement.

We took her to Joy Veterinary clinic, and asked if we can start with the cheapest treatment option as we were extremely low on funds. At that time, we were not aware of the extent of her injuries. After 1 week of muscle supplements, anti-inflammatory meds and drips, her condition was not improving. She was still unable to stand.

Today, we shifted her to BPVC and got an x-ray done. We’re still in shock. 3 out of her 4 limbs are badly fracture.

Front right limb - displaced fracture near elbow
Back right limb - displaced fracture on femur
Back left limb - fracture at hip joint

She will need 3 surgeries with metal pins and plates to fix her injuries.

PLEASE HELP SIMBA WALK AGAIN ❤️🐕🐾

Simba will never go back to being a stray, she’s a Humblepaw baby now. We have a “forever home” for her, but we really need the money to make her well again.

2 cases in 2 days:

1. Male dog wandered into flats compound. Location: Kenanga Apartment. Some residents there hit him to chase him away, resulting in open wounds on both hands. He’s been treated, neutered and relocated to our shelter.
Dog Catcher: RM250
Vet bill: RM537.60

2. Female dog hit & run on Jalan Meranti Puchong. Unable to walk, possible fracture on both back legs. For now, we have moved her to shelter and started painkillers and antibiotics. Our regular vet is closed on Mondays so we’re waiting to take her in tomorrow. She will definitely need an xray and possibly (hopefully not) a surgery. Will update on the bill/cost tomorrow.

We’re trying our best with what we have. While we say that we’re unable to take in any more because we just don’t have the funds, it is also very difficult to ignore cases like these where the animal is in so much pain.

We’re here to provide hands on care and a safe space for them to recover, we ask PLEASE HELP US WITH THE BILLS 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Any amount will be much much appreciated!

Can you help us make this a Merry Christmas for our little ones? 🐶💛

We have 56 dogs at our shelter, and we use 1 bag of food (18kg) per day. We are able to buy it at RM103 per bag if we put in a bulk order for 25 bags.

Please help to share and spread the word so we can bring Christmas gifts to the shelter babies soon!

A BABY IS WAITING FOR HIS MOMMA 😭💔

This mother dog was caught by the council and taken away from her baby.

At the dog pound, she got tick fever. We bailed her out but she got very sick and needed to be admitted.

Please help us with her vet (BPVC) bills, so we can save this Momma and reunite her with her baby 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

A BABY IS WAITING FOR HIS MOMMA 😭💔

A stay dog was caught by the council right before our eyes. They took the mother and left the baby behind. We immediately went to MPS in Cyberjaya and paid the fine, then went to the dog pound in Sepang and bailed her out. Unfortunately, in the few hours that she was there, she picked up tick fever. Her condition got so bad we had to admit her at BPVC. She’s yet to be discharged.

Please help us with her vet bills, so we can save this Momma and reunite her with her baby 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Probably the most gentle and caring dog we’ve ever had! He was an injured stray puppy when we rescued him. Now he’s helping to raise 4 tiny kittens like they were his own babies! He shares food, cleans them up, carries them around and makes sure they don’t wander off anywhere.

We’ve encouraged people to rescue/adopt and not buy dogs, but this is a common answer: pedigree dogs are more intelligent. Our rescued babies could prove them wrong anyday!
