Welcome to Take a Paws Dog Walking 🐾.
I'm so excited to introduce you to Take a Paws - a dog walking service in Edinburgh created with one simple idea in mind: dogs deserve walks that are about more than just getting from A to B.
I believe our dogs needs opportunities to explore, to sniff, use their brains, play, learn and have fun - but also to practice patience, listening and to enjoy being calm.
That's why my walks are designed around mental stimulation, calmness, fun and adventure.
Rather than large groups, I'll be keeping walks small, with a maximum of 4 dogs. This means I can give each dog the attention they deserve, whilst still creating a relaxed and mindful walking environment where they can be themselves. Dogs will be matched into groups that suit their personality and needs.
I'll also be offering solo walks for dogs who need a little more space and would benefit from that extra attention. It'll be the same great adventures, just in a more focused 1:1 setting.
We'll explore different places, discover new sights and smells, and cultivate each walk to feel like it's own little adventure.
For me, it's not about simply tiring a dog out. It's about helping them to feel fulfilled.
A great walk can leave a dog happily tired, mentally satisfied, more confident and content - with plenty of time to sniff, explore, have fun and then switch off when it's time to relax.
I am building a dog walking service where owners feel confident that their dogs aren't just being "walked" - they're being understood, cared for and given experiences that genuinely enrich their day.
