🚨EMERGENCY FUNDRAISER: BEAR'S BATTLE FOR HIS BONE 🚨
🎯JOIN US WITH YOUR ONE-TIME $25 DONATION FOR BEAR:
Friends, meet Bear 🐻, a 6-year-old Pomeranian with a big heart and a tough journey. ❤️
Several years ago, Bear broke his leg and had it repaired with hardware. Unfortunately, that hardware is now badly infected. Despite multiple rounds of antibiotics 💊, the infection just won’t go away.
Instead of getting him the care he desperately needs, his owner planned to surrender him to the shelter 💔 … but thanks to his caring groomer ✂️, Bear found his way to us for a second chance.
👉 Bear needs urgent surgery TODAY to remove the infected hardware and save his leg. The estimate is $750.
We can’t do this without you. Please consider donating to help Bear get the surgery he needs to live pain-free. Every dollar counts! 🙏❤️
📢 Share Bear’s story to spread the word!
🐶 Let’s show Bear that love always wins. ❤️

Meet Carolina Poodle Rescue’s adoptable Ginger!
Ginger is a 13 year old Chihuahua mix! She came to us in poor physical condition after moving from a cruelty case to a shelter. After having a dental, lumps and bumps removed, and getting rid of her fleas, she’s ready to find her retirement paradise. This sweet senior girl wants to spend the rest of her days in comfort. Old age often comes with wisdom, and in Ginger’s case, it comes with hearing loss, arthritis, and vision loss as well. Despite these challenges, Ginger could not be a more sweet and loving girl. She wants a warm spot in somebody’s lap to spend her days snoozing and cuddling. This tiny queen prefers being carried and wants to live in comfort, have yummy meals, and relax. Ginger loves to meet anyone who is ready to love on her or let her sit in their lap.

Meet Adoptable Gabriel!
Gabriel is an adult male Standard Poodle. He came to CPR in mid-September 2024 as an owner surrender.
Gabriel was surrendered due to his natural instincts; he and his brother, Wesley, had a little too much fun chasing some chickens on the farm where they lived. While this may sound alarming, Gabriel was simply following his instincts. Because of this, he cannot be adopted into homes with cats or small dogs.
Gabriel thrives in an active environment and would do best in a home free of small creatures but full of toys and activities. This big boy still has a playful puppy spirit and his favorite thing in the world is playtime! He’s the perfect companion for anyone who can devote quality time to him.
An intelligent dog, Gabriel is eager to please and listens well. With his sharp mind, training him should be a breeze! He’ll need to learn basic commands like sit, stay, down, and come, along with some leash training. This time spent teaching him will strengthen the bond between the two of you.
Gabriel deserves a chance to show how wonderful he can be, despite his past. A home with a fenced yard is required for him, as it will ensure his instincts don’t take over again. A fenced yard will also give him plenty of space to run and play—whether with other dogs or older children—to burn off some of his excess energy.
Gabriel is an extremely energetic, loving boy looking for a second chance at happiness. He can’t wait to show you just how smart, fun, and joyful he is!

Meet Adoptable Baby!
Baby is an adult male Maltese/Toy Poodle Mix. He came to CPR as an owner release. Baby is currently in a foster home in Raleigh, NC.
Baby's entire life has been lived with very quiet retirees who were home full-time. He's helped raise human grandchildren and is great with kids of all ages. Baby is looking for a home where someone is home during the day. He does not appreciate being left while you go to work. He's looking for a home that can offer him lots of physical activity - he LOVES to walk and play with toys and needs more exercise than what he was getting. Baby would be okay with another small dog in the home, but no large dogs - he's never lived with them, and they scare him. Baby would also be really happy to be your only dog. Cats are just fine too.
Handsome Baby is an absolute charmer. He has personality and looks to match. Baby may be close to 9 years old, but you'd never know it. He has tons of energy, loves to go for walks, and is always up for playing with toys. Baby doesn't meet strangers - he happily greets everyone that he meets. He sleeps in the bed, typically under the covers, pressed as close to you as he can get. If you're sitting down, he wants to be on your lap and loves to be cradled like a baby and rocked.

Meet Adoptable Gamora!
Gamora is a young female Standard Poodle. She came to CPR in early November 2024 as a breeder release. Gamora is a puppy that didn’t sell. She is almost one year old.
Gamora would thrive in a home with a single person or a couple. Gamora would heavily benefit from a home with another dog, that way she can learn the ways of a pet. Gamora will NOT be placed in a with children. Sometimes children do things that scare dogs, especially dogs like Gamora who are not used to the outside domesticated world.
Gamora loves being by your side and is happiest when she’s with you. Whether you're going for a walk, heading to the store, hiking in the mountains, or visiting a café, she wants to be part of every adventure. While she hasn’t interacted with cats, Gamora is a playful and fun spirit. In the right home environment Gamora would coexist with cats. You or her furry friend will have to be her playmate though!
Gamora is an upbeat, playful, and affectionate girl who’s always ready for fun. She’s social and loves everyone she meets. While she’s playful with other dogs, she loves a good toy too! Gamora’s main goal in life is to be by your side, sharing her love and enthusiasm. So long as you can guide her with a gentle and loving hand!
Gamora thrives when she can ask for attention, and she is happiest when love is on her terms. We think a lot of us can relate to this. Gamora was picked up by a caregiver to bring her inside for bedtime. Gamora was not a fan of this regardless of her loving nature. She is not used to being handled like this yet and it made her unsure. In a moment of worry she tried to snap at the caregiver.
Gamora was raised on a farm with lots of running and fun but not much leash walking. She will learn with some kindness and patience. Additionally, she’ll need some guidance on basic queues like sit, stay, down, and come. Gamora is a quick learner and loves to please, so with your patience and positive reinforcement, she will catch on quickly!

Meet Adoptable Lucy of OH!
Lucy is an adult female Miniature Poodle mix. She came to CPR in late October 2024. This adorable senior lady was found as a stray in Tennessee following Hurricane Helene and has had quite the journey to get to where she is now. Lucy arrived at Carolina Poodle Rescue with severe dental issues and needed a full mouth extraction. After some much-needed dental care, she’s feeling so much better and is now on a soft food diet.
Lucy has been through a lot recently, and she’s ready to settle into a calm, loving home where she can enjoy her golden years in peace. She loves to eat, sleep, and snuggle with her human. Her favorite activities include giving sweet kisses and curling up in your lap for a nap. She’s very low-maintenance, and her gentle, easygoing nature makes her the perfect companion for someone seeking a relaxed, affectionate pet.
Lucy would thrive in a quiet, peaceful home where she can feel safe and cherished. Whether you live in a house or an apartment, she’s adaptable and content as long as she has a cozy doggie bed or a spot on the couch to call her own. Lucy would make a wonderful companion for a senior retiree, a single person, or a couple. Because of her calm nature, she would be happiest in a home with older, teenaged children—she’s not a fan of the noise and unpredictability of younger kids.
Lucy has been through a lot in her life, and now she just wants to enjoy the simple pleasures: sunny spots to nap in, gentle cuddles with her human, and a peaceful, loving home. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-maintenance companion who will bring joy and warmth into your life, Lucy just might be the perfect match.
If you open your heart and home to this little senior lady, you’ll be amazed at how much love her tiny heart has to offer. Adopt Lucy today and brighten both of your worlds!

Meet Carolina Poodle Rescue’s adoptable Jagger!
Jagger is a 5 year old Standard Poodle! He would love a calm environment with a safely fenced yard to play in. Jagger would be happy as your one and only or with soggy siblings. He is nervous at first, especially in new situations or with sudden movements. An adult-only family or one with older children would be best for Jagger. This sweet guy is just trying to find love again after being surrendered to a shelter when his family got a new dog. He wants to be your best friend, but he needs to get to know you first! Jagger loves to run and play, and his curious and happy nature would make him a good companion for anything from trips to the coffee shop to mountain hikes. He loves to be around people and play with them, and he would benefit from training.

Meet Carolina Poodle Rescue’s adoptable Bingo!
Bingo is an almost 4 year old Standard Poodle! He came to us as a breeder release, and he is looking for home with a securely fenced yard. He is still learning how to trust humans after being in a breeding environment. Everything is new to him, so he is looking for an adopter who can give him time and love while he figures out the world. Someone with endless patience who is committed to helping him grow into a confident companion would be perfect, especially if they spend most of their time at home. He needs another large, confident dog in his home to learn from. Bingo has spent his whole life around other dogs and needs a leader to show him the way. Children would not be a good match for Bingo. He needs people to teach him the basics, like simple commands and walking on a leash. While he can be a shy gig with new people, he typically adjusts after a few minutes to allow pets. It will take time to build trust. He needs you to let him move at his own pace.

Meet Carolina Poodle Rescue’s adoptable Dream Girl!
Dream Girl is a 6 year old Irish Setter! She came to us as a breeder release, and she is a beautiful and energetic girl looking for a loving family. Dream wants a big, fenced yard to run and play with her doggy sibling. She likes to play with other dogs and would be happiest with people who enjoy outdoor activities. She has never known life as a pet, but she is soaking up the attention she’s getting from people in rescue. While Dream is shy with new people, she is excited to learn more about her new world as a companion animal. She is pretty good on a leash, but will need you to teach her basic commands. An active family or single person would be ideal for this playful gal who looks forward to a life of jogs, hikes, mountain treks, beach days, or time at the dog park. We really think Dream would be happiest with another large and energetic dog in her forever home to be a playmate and guide for her.
