Is there such a thing as too many dog treats? We don't think so. Training treats should be small to start with, and training sessions are short. Rewards for impromptu behaviors are always acceptable too! Once you start to train your dog regularly, you'll adjust their food for the day to take into consideration those training treats. If you're training while you're out and about, focused on your dog, and someone comes up to you, we think it's perfectly okay to not engage. Just say, "Sorry, I'm training my dog now."
