Recall is inherently a rubbish thing for dogs, when was the last time you called them away from something they didn’t like?

Making sure you have a reward available that is fun, and valuable to your dog is the most important thing.

And practice.

You need to make sure you have so many repetitions in that when you actually do need them to come back, it’s muscle memory for them.

Goober has been a sniffy monster for a few weeks so we are proofing her recall again.

Firework season in London has officially started (did it ever end?) and our sound sensitive dogs are in for a long run of it.

It can feel overwhelming in the city, when the desensitisation that you did isn’t cutting it, and the fireworks are every night. So I’ve created a webinar to help you manage those “oh sheet” moments and to give you a selection of tools that you can use when it’s all a bit much for your dog and you.

Bloody hell. More blisters than I can count, have to go downstairs on my bum, but floored by the amazing donations we have received so far.

Started the walk having a sob with my mum, this year has been sh*te, but knowing how much the money will do for families affected by asbestos diseases through feels like I’m able to do something.

I am a force free dog trainer.

My training is and always will be labelled force free. I don’t get the desperation to avoid a label here when it goes with my ethics and is a clear statement on how I work with animals.

In every aspect of my life I fight to be seen how I want to be seen. So it’s no surprise that it’s the men, it’s the cis people, it’s the straights, it’s the white people who are so desperate to distance themselves from labels.

I’m a q***r, le***an woman, I am vegan, and I am a force free dog trainer.

Suck up and use a label, it’s pathetic that you’re worried about what your mates might think.

Forever upsetting men. Forever happy to.

I’m really enjoying my job at the moment, I’ve got clients who get it. They know my vibe and understand how it works when they work with me.

Slow and steady and full of love is how we do it in my world, and I wouldn’t want it any other way!
