It is with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes that I share the sad news that Jess has crossed the rainbow bridge. During the time I spent walking and caring for her I witnessed the joy, love and loyalty that she brought into the world. Jess will forever be remembered for her playful spirit, gentle nature and of course her stubbornness. She was a greedy girl and many of times she’d catch a whiff of something and out of no where she’d leg it to find her prize. I lost many battles trying to pry her “treasure” from her mouth, she did love a good left over bolognese though no one got near when she found that. It wasn’t just me she’d look for treasure with her poor mam lost the battle to a protein shake container which she ran off with so her mam couldn’t take it. Everyone who met her fell in love, it’s hard not to when she’s pawing at your leg for a head scratch or smushing her butt into you for a scratch. She was truly one of a kind!

To Ruth, my deepest sympathy goes out to you during this incredibly difficult time. Please know that my thoughts are with you and we’re always just a phone call away. Jess was truly special and I feel privileged to have been part of her journey.

Rest in peace, sweet girl. You will be missed more than words can say. 💔

We only board one household at a time unless from the same family however we have 4 resident dogs (2 Jack Russell, Chihuahua mix & Cocker spaniel) so any dogs staying with us must be friendly and well socialised.

We’re based in Penshaw but can provide Pick up / Drop off if required at no extra cost.

Who Are We?

Adventure Pups was founded in 2018 by Kirsty Gunn who has extensive experience and knowledge within the animal industry. Here at Adventure Pups we like to break the mould of your typical dog walks we don’t go on walks, we go on adventures!

We want your dog to get more out of life so our adventures are tailored to ensure they work all their senses stimulating both their body and mind. We are fully insured and all of our pack leaders hold a valid and up to date DBS check (formally a CRB) so you can be assured your pet is in safe hands.

Adventure Pups has a strict ratio of 1 pack leader to every 4 dogs to ensure each dog can be properly supervised. Despite our attention to detail and the level of care on our adventures we’re determined to make Dog Walking more affordable for everyone, you can see a full list of our prices in the Services section
