We have been exposing the genetic trait of backing and honor of another dog on point as to not scare the bird away at a younger age.
As a breeder of this Rebel/Hank litter it is inspiring to see these puppies nock it out of the park at just over a year of age.
In this photo, Aspen is pointing a Siloette (fake dog used for training backing) with her mother backing her.

Princess VC Rebel Has been spending alot of time in the blind the last couple weeks with Spencer Vollmer on Guided and buddy hunts in South and North Dakota.

10 weeks yesterday crate trained and nearly house trained.Always thought making it all night was too much to ask until around 12 weeks.
Definitely proved us wrong.
Grey boy is pending with Aqua Girl and Orange boy waiting for their hunting homes.

8.5 weeks.
Loading the clicker so to speak.
Free shaping is a form of training to help dogs think they are making the decision in their actions.
Rewarding the action helps especially in puppies to be creative in their thinking and offer behaviors for reward.
Using target training to load the machine for later training such as reward based retrieving and actually reaching into puppy blind retrieve settings.
Looking forward to adding these new methods to our toolbox.
It appears Red Boy is loving it ♥️
