So glad to have stumbled upon this Mountain Lion a little while ago! I'm fairly certain he's a he. God I'm so in love with this skull. Seeing it cleaned up with the fur, and the dried flesh removed from him. I can't wait to hit him with peroxide and see him shine!! I do have most of his Skeleton. I hope with what I can piece together that I'll be able to get a clearer picture of his life, and death. Pictures just don't do him justice.

So someone gave me a little squirrel to work on. In the process of having my beetles strip it. Well they got a little over zealous and ate like 95% of the whole damn thing. So I did this to try and salvage what I can. It looks a little frosted from the spray I used to set everything but it's grown on me. I might be making more of these.

Shaking off the ring rust here. Trying some new things. I never really saw myself being the artistic type with bones. But more a supplier, and bone cleaner for those with that decorative, beautiful, artistic gift.

So, things finally worked out to where I can work on some skulls again. I can't thank those involved enough. There's two cows and this buck here. So I'm gonna take extra care of these babies. I have a few plans and projects to run through. But things are finally picking up, and I'm so happy.
I cannot express my happiness.

Also I'm not boiling the skull, just heating it up enough for the left over flesh to shrivel up and loosen so it can be power washed off.

Hello, I have so much to say, but I'll try to keep it short. Thank you all for 515 followers! really. I didn't think I'd reach this many people. And something I'm sure most of you wonderful people can relate to is mental health problems. I've had the sudden realization I can make wet specimens and still do a form of taxidermy with my current living restrictions! But, finding the joy, and energy, to do so is hard. And to keep up this account. So the fact I can come back and have more of you than when I left is amazing and I am so thankful. Its a long journey until things are just where I want them. But I'm giving it my all. If you've known me awhile you've known for the longest time I've said I'm headed to Florida! Only for it to be pushed back rather often. At this point I'm gonna just focus and buckle down. But the goal is to this year. I'll stop there. And I'll thank you all for your continued support! 😁 I love you all!

Also the animals pictured in order are a veiled chameleon, of which there are two. A red eyed crocofile skink, and a snake of which the name escapes me. I'll edit this someday to include it. (Thats a lie I'm gonna forget as soon as I post this)

I've been trying to sight see before I move back to Florida. Museums and Zoos are some of my favorite things. But what stood out to me when visiting the Museums. Is that you can acquire almost everything there if you have enough money 🤣 the dinosaur skeletons can be from 350 to 55,000 and up. The skulls, bones, wet specimens, skins, and furs. We're treated differently by the people who saw them. So many people were fascinated and loved what they saw! They didn't ask in a disturbed way "where everything came from." So I just had a hard time understanding why people are so different when you do things on a personal level, instead of a professional level. When its all the same love, passion, and process. Food for thought I guess 😂

As the weather warms up, it is time for me to come alive again! 😌
Working on a few things to sell before I relocate to a temporary residence before I make my move back to Florida. I believe I have 4 spines I'll be working on this week. I'm so excited to finish them, they've been sitting in my shed since winter started! Wish me luck 😄
