I'm gutted to say that little Herbie died suddenly at 10pm last night.
He had been doing well but hadn't been out to eat, so I was getting him out to give fluid injections and he died as I was holding him.
Fly hi over that 🌈 bridge baby boy 💔

This is Herbie, he's not been here long. Found out in the day in a park sunbathing ,not long left mum 229g.

Well done Emma who spotted him, talked her friend into taking her vest top off 🫣 to wrap him in and he arrived in that and Emma's lovely tote bag 😁.

He's dehydrated had fluids injections and is in the incubator.

No obvious injuries but a few ticks.
Send your healing vibes ❤️🙏🤞 please xx

So Peggy is 2 weeks post amputation and is now doing really well. Wound well healed, moving well, eating well, she was a skinny poorly girl but has gone from 426,g - 640g.

She needs another week to ensure the scar is strong enough for normal activities. So she has gone glamping at Emily's satellite site.

Sometime next week she will move to a secure garden to get strength in her remaining legs.

This will be monitored from time to time and when we think she's ready she will be fully released.

Well done Peggy, you have been such a good girl ❤️.

Big thank you to Emily for taking over the next stage of her recovery ❤️

UPDATE 22nd July.

This poor thing did eat a little last night but seemed to be in pain when moving.

I took him back to the vet practice that couldn't find any injuries and pointed out how he was struggling to walk and the flat spines.

He was x-rayed and he had a pelvic fracture 😢so was put to sleep.
Hopefully they will examine 🦔 a bit more thoroughly next time 🤞.

Fly high over the 🌈 bridge no more suffering sweet boy.

Well done finder Emily who knew something was wrong so didn't release him.

New chap named Chase a big boy 1 kg. Found out in the day on Thursday at a local nursery. Checked over by the vet who couldn't find anything wrong and told the finder to release it on Monday when the nursery opened again.

Luckily for Chase Emily who took it to the vet is a nurse and decided today he wasn't fit for release.

He's not been eating or 💩. Has had at least 50 tics removed at the vets and still has a lot of tiny ones.

He also has an issue with his spine. Look at the pic the spines towards his bum are flat which is nerve damage and he has an odd walk. This could be an old injury.

He's had antibiotics because of the mass of ticks, which can cause infection and anti-inflammatory drugs incase it is a new injury and pain is affecting his eating.

He's obviously enjoyed his food in the past. Will assess him for a few days and discuss with Erica.
Send him healing vibes 🙏🤞❤️ something is not right.

Well done Emily who informed the nursery 🦔 aren't out in the day, taking him to the vet, caring for him over the weekend and getting him to me ❤️.

Gutted to announce that baby Jamie who came in Saturday night, 69,g dehydrated, hypothermic and had been out for 2 days went over the 🌈 bridge in his sleep during the night.

While he never picked up I thought he was stable and looks like he went not long after his late feed.

Tried so hard little one but you were warm, cosy and had a full tummy.
Fly high sweetheart 💔

Alf and Ethel are now glamping so that's left me a couple of free cages.
