How cute is 6yo Flint?? 😍

I’ve had a blast working with this lovely boy - he’s so genuinely sweet-natured and has a canter I could quite happily sit on all day! He’s the sort of horse who could excel in straight dressage, bring home all the ribbons in the show hunter ring or equally he could turn his hoof to a bit of everything and be a fun little allrounder.

Ultra-handsome Mr Maverick showing off his post-bath shine this afternoon. Isn’t he just stunning! 😍

This big fella is 17.1hh of clydie goodness, and has come to stay with me for some ridden education and life experience. He’s done loads of trekking in his previous home but has lots of holes in his knowledge - today Maverick learnt about accepting the leg, moving the hindquarters and played around with some very basic steering.

Excited to see this boy progress under saddle!

Introducing Flint! 💥

This gorgeous boy arrived yesterday for some schooling and mileage. He is a serious sweetheart, and had settled in so well by the afternoon that we ended up heading out into the forest for his first ride. A couple of (very minor) wobbles to work through, but all in all he was very well behaved considering it was a new situation with a new rider on his back.

Really looking forward to playing around with this wee man - he’s ultra cute!

Took a deep-dive into the topic of rider biomechanics yesterday with Melanie and her lovely boy, Quiz, who are working towards being show hunter superstars.

It never ceases to amaze me how immediately we can change a horse’s way of going by making some small, simple adjustments to the rider’s alignment and balance in the saddle. Always so rewarding to see those “eureka!”moments throughout a lesson as the puzzle pieces start to fall into place!

Day 4 of our BRAVE-PANTS BOOTCAMP is this Sunday… and we have a few spaces still available!

☀️ COURSE RIDING 101 ☀️

Who is it for?
✅ Riders wanting to develop a logical, step-by-step approach to navigating a course of jumps…
✅ Those who get a bit frazzled when faced with a full course and would like some skills to help…
✅ Anyone who appreciates a solid foundation to build on!

At this stage, we have 1x space in our “ground poles” group and the potential for 3x riders to create an “up to 50cm” group.

GROUND POLES: 2:30pm-3:30pm
UP TO 50cm: 3:30-4:30pm

Cost: $60 per horse/rider combination

BRAVE-PANTS BOOTCAMP Day 3 🦄☀️🐎

Yesterday was a lovely afternoon for a couple hours of pole exercises with two fabulous groups of horses and riders. Lots of great work on rhythm, straightness and balance from everyone! A big thank you to all of you for coming along, and to Verity and Annalise for the photo.

Looking forward to next week’s day 4, “Course Riding 101”, where we’ll really hone in on how to plan and navigate around a simple course of jumps in a way that’s applicable to any level. At this stage there’ll be two groups - ground poles & up to 50cm. A few spaces are still available so get in touch if you haven’t already 😉

I’m currently taking bookings for next week (4th Nov) through to Sunday 16th Dec, and starting up again in the second week of January.

All available packages can be negotiated to work with the needs of you and your horse/pony.

A typical week for each horse looks like:
💪 5-6 work sessions per week,
🌊 Beach and forest rides,
🐎 Schooling in our jump + dressage arenas,
✨ Work on manners and responsiveness from the ground,
🦄 Daily care - to a very high standard!
🌳 A comfy place to rest in individual Equiwire paddocks, with friendly horses over the fence.
