between 2023-2025, we will be gearing towards lessening our collection and focusing more on smaller projects involving Red gene, GHI, black head, hra, pied, hypo and champagne; along with several others, in hopes of creating some really neat looking morphs while producing and maintaining healthy animals. When it comes to our rodents that are bred here, they are fed a variety of foods including
non antibiotic hog starter, bird seed, carrots, kale, spinach, hard boiled eggs, Timothy hay and orchard grass. Our ASF colonies are in a 1:6 ratio on kiln dried pine bedding. Babies are kept with parents until they are eating and drinking on their own - about 25 days, then moved into a 50 gallon tank with 1-6 retired breeder females. These females teach the weanlings how to forage and take care of themselves. Females are retired when they are either a year and 8 months, or begin to show signs of decling health, which ever comes first. They are either culled, and become food for our own snakes, or become caretakers in the weanling tank. Our mice aren't much different, they retire around a year and a half, and then they are then culled, and become food for our snakes aswell. Our Frozen thaw rats come from a supplier in Ontario. Their animals always look healthy and clean. When we do an order from them, we will let the public know and then you are also able to make an order for yourself. Our snakes typically will eat Ft rat, we do have the occasional one that only eats live, and then they are on ASF. We start our hatchlings off on live ASF and then when they are around 100g mark, they are switched to FT rat, the only reason we wait so long is because in the numerous Clutches we have hatched, only one was under 55g at the time of hatching. Once they are switched, they become available for purchase or are moved to our Hold Back rack.
