When bringing home a puppy, many people forget the expense of regular grooming that it may need throughout its life.

As a groomer, I've run into surprised first time owners who expected the price of a dog's haircut to be less than a human haircut.

A dogs trip to the grooming salon involves nail trimming, ear cleaning, bath, dry, brush out and trimming.

What about a haircut without everything else?

Trimming dirty hair dulls blades and scissors, isn't very sanitary, often takes longer, and it won't look nice. Even if the dog is bathed at home and brought to the groomer, if the dog isn't properly bathed and dried, you won't have a nice finished haircut.

We want your dog to look great and for you to be happy. So this is why most if not all groomers do everything from start to finish.

🥮 Filo has officially received his CHIC number from the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals).

As a responsible breeder, I believe health testing is an important tool we have to make informed, thoughtful breeding decisions. The CHIC (Canine Health Information Center) program encourages breeders to complete and publicly share essential health screenings.

Filo’s results, along with those of his parents and other relatives, are all available to view on the OFA website — full transparency for anyone interested in one of our puppies.

Good breeding starts with good information. 💙
