Belated birthday celebration for Willow.

Support FeLV Rescue!!!!!
This is Rahula, our first FeLV+ cat. He was very sick and after we rescued him, he got better and even gained weight! Later, he had cancer, and when he was shutting down, we told we will always love him and we will never forget him.
That is how Rahula Felv Sanctuary came about! To care for other FeLV cats in his memory.
FeLV cats pose a challenge because rescuers must protect their other cats from FeLV. That is why some rescuers set up a FeLV shelter. We want to support our fellow FeLV rescuers with food.

There are many definitions of rescue work, and in some cases, animals that would have enjoyed their lives with medical care are put down instead.
We have many rescue cases where we agree to take in an animal for palliative care. However, with proper care, they managed to recover and went on to live for several years. The initial reports might have been distorted because the animal was badly neglected before rescue.
Because of these experiences, we are against convenience euthanasia.
And we also support fellow rescuers who share the same values!

Hello everyone, please join us to welcome Sammy as the new cat CEO of Gold-D. Uncle Rabbit used to say Sammy is the most intelligent cat, and he was helping Uncle Rabbit when he was unwell.
We rescued Sammy 3 years ago after he fell 3 floors and broke his pelvis. When we contacted his ex-owner, they responded with alot of vulgarity and "Cannot be". As he needs alot of post-surgery care, we decided not to return him to his ex-owner.
Today, Sammy has become the 5th cat CEO in the history of Gold-D.

We have a tradition of a cat CEO and later evolved to dog and rabbit CEO. Rabbit joins Ken Ken, Gold-D and Seng Seng as the list of Gold-D cat CEO.
They were all rescued cats who were once abandoned, abused or in danger. We adopted them and we are proud of them. And of course proud enough to have them as a model and a CEO.
They achieve much more as a cat than the people who wanted to abuse or harm them.
It is also our way of promoting adoption, especially of animals who might be deemed too sick, ugly for adoption.
Following Rabbit's passing, we will be announcing a new cat CEO.

In loving memory of Sawyer T. Rabbit (17 Apr 2011 - 20 Sept 2025)
Uncle Rabbit passed away peacefully this evening.
He was a FIV+ cat and most likely abandoned. When rescued, he was in very bad shape and the feeder sought help from a "rescue" group and was advised to euthanise Rabbit.
Luckily, the feeder refused. When we saw his photo, we reached out to adopt him. That was in Jun 2019.
Rabbit was traumatized and in his self defense, he would hiss and ready to attack. It took 6 months before he calmed down and accepted us. Thereafter, he enjoyed hugs and bonded with his siblings. The little ones loved him and he became their favourite Uncle Rabbit.
In Jun 2022, after Seng Seng passed away, Rabbit became the cat CEO of Gold-D.
Rabbit is an amazing cat brought everyone joy. His life is also a good example against convenience euthanasia.
Rabbit was the star of his documentary "Saving Sawyer T. Rabbit" that won multiple awards from around the world.

When you see this cat, what will be your immediate reaction?
FIV? FeLV? cancer? Abused?
We were worried he might be FIV or FeLV or both. and maybe kidney failure, thyroid or pancreatic issues.

This is Sawyer T. Rabbit, affectionately called Uncle Rabbit by the little ones. He is FIV+ and was almost put down by a "rescue" group.
We adopted him and saw him bloom into a happy healthy cat.
This is Rabbit posing next to the Gold-D Hake and he is the model on the food.
We cannot overemphasize the importance of ensuring that FIV cats are not exposed to carageenan. It can cause inflammation and increase cancer risk! And in fact, we protect all our rescued cats and dogs from carrageenan.

This is Mr. Squid. He is FIV+ and lost an eye to infection. We adopted him because an adult FIV+ cat who lost an eye means it is very difficult to find him a home.
