My daughter Kylee sent me this and said she was scrolling through FaceBook and saw it and did a double take and sure enough thats our Brutus!! This must have been taken when he went for his vaccines or when they drew blood from him to make serum for surgeries on other dogs when Kylee took him to work with her. One of the vet techs that she works with took a picture with him and now it’s her profile picture. Like I always knew, everybody loves our Big Bru!!

I don’t post these two nearly enough, but like our oldest human daughter Kylee and only son Drew, they could pass for twins. These guys are in fact a year apart in age and not from the same litter. They both have their Daddy’s coloration but Eugenia has their Momma’s physique though she is taller than Quinn and way more chunky since she has been spayed. Boudreaux has their Daddy’s build but is more lanky and coltish like their Momma, he’s actually about an inch taller than Brutus too. Personality wise, Girlie has her Daddy’s more laid back demeanor but is way more cautious and timid, while Boo doesn’t seem to have many thoughts in his head other than doing whatever Girlie and their Momma are doing. Eugenia also has Quinn’s golden brown eyes, while Boudreaux has Brutus’ deep ebony eyes. Eugenia (Girlie) is the one standing and Boudreaux (Boo) is the one laying down. I took this yesterday while Kylee was mowing and these guys and their Momma (Quinn) were in the front yard.

Brutus went for a prolonged romp in the mud today and not only did the he get himself covered in mud but the tub got covered in muck bathing him. His white markings may not be very white for a while. But he was due for a good bath and he got one today.

Today was our patriarch, Brutus’annual appointment for vaccinations, ProHeart12 injection and flea meds. Our favorite vet tech, Kylee, did his exam and shots. He weighed 153 lbs today and was the bestest boy.

Our matriarch, Quinn, went for her annual vet visit. She weighed 126 lbs today and she received her vaccines and ProHeart 12 injection. She was an absolute lady for our Kylee (pictured with Quinn) and everyone loved her at Matagorda Veterinary Clinic (Kylee is also a Vet tech there) and at Tractor Supply, where they went after the appointment. Quinn wasn’t too keen on going back home to her two grown children, Eugenia and Boudreaux, as you can tell from the second photo. We love our big girl. Up next it’s Brutus’ turn on Tuesday, then Eugenia and Boudreaux in the coming weeks. This is your reminder, if you haven’t done so: take your fur baby for their annual vaccinations and heart worm meds.
