"Wondering if you should get her that pony, wonder no more!

Riding families have always known horses are good for kids, but now research is proving it. One study, sponsored by the American Youth Horse Council, found that equestrian activities do indeed enhance a range of life skills in children.

The study looked at youngsters involved in 4-H, Pony Club, the American Quarter Horse Youth Association, or the National High School Rodeo Association in one eastern and one western state. Results of the study, published in February 2006, found a significant positive relationship between horsemanship skills and life skills.

If your child likes animals and you’re concerned about that child’s problem solving, goal-setting, or decision-making skills, then definitely get him or her involved with horses."

Cherokee is a 6 year old, Strong 13.3 hand gorgeous Welsh - GYPSY cross gelding. He is a solid citizen that catches the eye of all who see him. He is a true all around pony for anyone to enjoy no matter if they want a fantastic riding partner, or they need a sensible equine partner, or they want to hitch him up to that epic carriage for a quiet relaxing drive down the road.
He is a beautiful light gray color with dapples for days. He has a flawless personality and the movement of a fairytale horse. He is extremely smooth at each gait and will make you smile from ear to ear when you sit on top of his back. He has a great walk, an insanely smooth trot, and a rocking horse canter. He will neck rein, direct rein and he is a pony that you can hop on and ride with just a halter and lead rope and enjoy a casual stroll through the woods. He has been on countless trail rides in all different types of terrain. He crosses water of all kinds and will walk over any bridge.
He is safe with traffic on the road and he settles into any new place easily. Cherokee is definitely a pony that you will wear your tires off looking for, as he is a once in a lifetime type of pony .He came into our program with such grace and doesn’t mind having the bullwhip cracked and is even good with a tarp and loves to play with the ball. He really loves his down time with his person and loves to be your friend . He is also super solid with jumping over a pole in the ring with confidence. Which we think he would make an amazing step up or lesson pony.
Cherokee is a horse that we know you will fall in love with, he does not need to be in any type of program or ridden every day to be the same pony for you when you get him out. He can be kept in a stall and also does great on pasture and will come running when you call him in. He stands well in the cross ties and really loves attention. He is wearing shoes all around because of where we ride and does wonderful for the farrier. He has very nice solid feet. 100% sound and no vices. UTD on coggins, trims, teeth, deworming etc

RO SMOOTH MILK DUD
2017 AQHA registered palomino gelding that stands 15 hands tall and as wide as he is tall! He came off the O RO Ranch in Prescott, Arizona
Where do I even start with a gelding like this! He is a once in a lifetime bombproof horse that anyone would love to have! He is a very special horse around here and we love him dearly! He is a gentle puppy dog that ANYONE can ride!! Bandito has the biggest personality in the whole barn, he has that old soul that everyone loves! He stays broke and gentle year around! He stands 15 hands tall with all the bone and foot you could put on one. Stays barefoot I couldn’t see him ever needing shoes with the big solid feet he has. Bandito was on a yearling operation in Wyoming most of his life until he came to us, we have him going good on the heel side on live cattle and taken him to a few jackpots. We have also broke in fresh steers on the head and heel side on him. He side passes, opens and closes gates, picks up correct leads, and lopes easy circles. He has a really nice stop and wants to really drag his butt. He will ride in the arena or outside in the country crossing creeks, dragging logs, going through thickets, down the road, and bridle-less! We have him doing really good on his lay down also. He is good in a stall, or turned out with other horses, he gives you no problems whatsoever! He is just easy going and will do anything you ask! My 5 yr old and 9 yr old have been riding him doing barrels, goat tying, tracking the dummy, trail riding, and working cows. He is super gentle on the ground like a puppy and absolutely no buck or sillyness. We sent him with a friend of ours to south Louisiana across the Mississippi River (he had to ride the ferry across) to catch a bunch of wild cows/bulls.

Here is one the whole family can enjoy! Cochise is as steady and laid back as they get.
We have enjoyed him out on the trails, he crosses water, logs and ditches with ease. He is no stranger to deer, turkey and cattle. He has gone up on the steepest terrain here in the eastern KY mountains and been hauled to the state parks and will stand tied all night while camping. He has been ridden by the youth out on the trails as well. His one hand neck rein makes him easy to maneuver through the woods. You cannot push a wrong button on him.

Starlight
Take another look at this chic!! Starlight is a beautiful registered 8yr old Overo Paint that is very well broke with a true 1 hand neck rein. She will sidepass and will allow you to open and close gates off her back. She has seen lots of trail miles this past summer and is an excellent trail mount where nothing seems to be big enough to scare her. She has been around farm equipment as well as on the main highway and log
trucks - semi's did not bother her at all.
Starlight is very versatile and has also done all kinds of ranch and farm work. We've used her to check cattle, pasture fences and she has been used to doctor cattle as well.
On the trails she has been ridden by all ages and has always taken good care of her riders. She is surefooted even in rough terrain. She will cross creeks, ditches and step over logs. She rides through thick brush or wherever you point her. She has been ridden in group trail rides and will lead the group or follow, she doesn't mind. We've taken her to state parks on trail rides and she did great! Starlight will also ride out alone and she is not barn or buddy sour at all. She also gets along well with other horses and ponies. She will come up to you in the pasture.
Starlight loads and trailers with no problems. We've also taken her to several fun events and she did very well.
Starlight is ready to go in any direction and she is the perfect age of 8yrs old. So if you are looking for a trail partner or a 4H or rodeo event horse, she is ready to go. She has a lot of foundation to her so she could also raise some babies too if you so wish. With her pretty head and good conformation she would certainly qualify.
Starlight sells 100%sound and requires no maintenance. She is also up-to-date on her farrier and dental work. She has a current coggins and health certificate and is also up-to-date on shots and dewormer.

Whether you're ready to get noticed in the show pen or just want a flashy mount out on the trails, Calypso is your girl! She's a super cool little mare that would take you far in the ranch riding/versatility show ring. She is the most beautiful golden dapple in the summer and has an ice-white mane, tail, and markings. Her splashy face is super unique and bound to get you noticed. Calypso just came out of a 60-day training tune-up and is ready to rock. She's got a lovely jog, a smooth working trot, and a super comfortable rocking chair lope. She will collect up and is soft and responsive in the bridle with a nice, low headset. She's really starting to learn how to use all her buttons.
If you just want to show off on the trail, she's great for that as well. She crosses water, logs, ditches, etc. She's been packed on in the mountains, ridden on the road, through town, and is not spooky of traffic or wildlife. She does well in front, middle, or behind and is also quite competent over obstacles.
Calypso isn't bothered by farm animals and has good cow sense. She has worked cows on the ranch and would make a great penning or sorting horse. She's quick, agile, and very athletic.
She's currently going great barefoot, but stands for shoes no problem. This girl will stand tied and quiet all day. She's a real no-nonsense kind of gal. She bathes, ties, leads, and loads with no problems. When her halter is on, she knows that it's time to work, and she'll do whatever you ask of her.

AQHA Palomino Mare who stands 15.2 hands tall. Extremely sweet and gentle. Loving nature and very easy to handle. She stands tied stands for a bath and was very well behaved. She has been used for a recip mare but she is also broke to ride. She could probably use a refresher course since it’s been a while since she’s been ridden. Just to get her back in the groove.She was ridden ba****ck last week and did good!!! Has very clean legs and is currently barefoot and moves out sound. Very sweet kind hearted horse. Loves to be loved on and be with you. Would make a great trail horse and a sweet family horse. She is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. She’s just like a Barbie Horse when I was growing up !!!
