To all of the followers, haters, stalkers, and bullies;

As of September 1st, 2022 we no longer provide any public updates on our current fosters, any community support we provide, or anything else we want to post. We already planned on shutting down and unfortunately didnt find placement within the timeframe we had agreed upon. We have determined that we have already posted everyone we need assistance with enough times that posting them over and over again won’t help. We are still actively looking for placement for everyone through private channels and will get everyone placed eventually.

We would have loved to continue providing updates, however cyberbullies have just made posting toxic instead of helpful. the toxicity of the rescue community spreads far and wide where the animals are not the cyber bullies priority, but their goal is to bully anyone they don’t like into submission. We have always put the animals well-being as our first priority and will continue doing this privately moving forward.

Thank you to everyone that has shared posts, lead us to an accepting rescue, or donated towards us for our fosters care.

Roxy has taken the longest to acclimate to the new environment out of the three elderly cats we have been caring for. She now frequently chats with us while we give her some much-deserved pets, this is of course when she decides to emerge from her hiding place. She has even been seen lounging around the home and hissing at the other cats just a little.

We’ve seen quite a few people requesting cat food and we’ve been told a lot of peeps don’t know about this brand.

If you are feeding your own kitties, ferals, outside kitties, or a colony this product is a good option as you can get 44 lbs for $26ish from Walmart or tractor supply.

It’s not the “top” tier cat food, however it’s still good enough to help a large amount of cats!

We purchase this and provide gallon baggies when we see people needing cat food.

This sweet and sensitive girl is named patches. If you recall from our last post she was adopted from Pima Animal Care Center, then abused by her homeless adopter. A Good Samaritan paid $50 for her and in the end she came to us.

The accepting rescue sent us an update and said that Patches has started to come out of her shell already. She enjoys cuddles and has a fascination for the water hose. She is on her way to finding a forever home that will continue showing her what it means to have the good life.

We are still actively raising funds to reach our $1,000 goal to pay down rescue debt. We are currently sitting at $285/$1,000 and if you can spare $1,$5,$10 all the pooches would appreciate it.

We are going to highlight this crazy girl as she is still with us.

We have been actively working on some training with Yumi to help her in her next home. Yumi is let out of her kennel only when she sits and waits for the door to be completely opened and told she can exit. She of course still bolts out, but she doesnt get to go right out with the other dogs just yet. She is required to sit down at the backdoor and once again wait for the door to be opened completely before being told she can go. This has helped reduce some of Yumis bad habits and also allowed her to show how willing she is to learn with the right owner.

She is such a good girl and just wants to given the chance to make someone very, very happy.

Thank you (Rescue name redacted) for taking not 1, not 2, not 3, but 5 total dogs today that were all in need of rescue.

The 4 chihuahua mixes all came from a home that was abandoned after it burned down. A kind samaritan took all 8 dogs that were alive off the property, however 2 sadly passed away before they were made aware of the need. They were in the process of getting everyone fixed, however due to program restraints it was a slow process for them. Out of the 8 dogs only 4 were in need of rescue as the others were friendly enough for private adoption. Our director provided free microchips for all the dogs to make sure if they get lost they could be reunited quickly (registered to the rescue also). Lil bit, big bit, croissant, and Biscuit we are so thankful we could be part of your journey to a better life and am so sorry that your beginning was neglect and abuse.

Khloe was a bit of a surprise as she was posted for free on CL and we asked (the rescue) if they’d like to take her, so we reached out to the owner and within an hour she was with us just in time to meet (the rescue) for transport/transfer. She is said to be afraid of everything including her shadow, however (the rescue) believes she just needs the right home to blossom into a beautiful senior girl. Khloe had been with her owners for over 5 years and was originally adopted from another rescue that closed its doors. The owners husband said that she had to get rid of Khloe because he was tired of a dog that didn’t like him.

While we aren’t taking in new animals we arent just going to ignore animals in need because we don’t personally have the funds to care for the animals LONG TERM, however we can hold an animal for another rescue just long enough for transport to be arranged.

Animal are our number 1 priority.

Hello followers, haters, stalkers, cronies, and everyone else.

This is Kaleb, the director, I wanted to come out and post this to dispell any misinformation and to provide my own side of what is happening.

Back in March, 2022 I had 2 visits from Animal Control Officers within a couple weeks of each other because of keyboard warriors filing unfounded animal control reports again me. The first officer came and said that everything looked decent and understood why certain things were done the way I did them. The first officer provided a few changes that would need to be made to be in compliance. The second officer did not like the way I did things and because it had only been 2 weeks since the last visit I didn’t have a chance to make the small changes I was asked to make. I get paid once a month and I can’t just go out and drop money without budgeting for it (if I can help it). The changes they wanted have cost me about $100 to implement.

The second officer issued a citation for three counts of “animal - no food” even though I did have food for everyone and plenty of it, but to avoid any further issues I signed the citation and went to court as this morning (missed last hearing due to medical issues) where they set me up for the next step of the process after I declined the prosecutors “plea deal” which was absolutely unreasonable considering I am not guilty of this.

Animal Control also showed up and attempted to intimidate me and said I needed to sign for more charges and if I didn’t they were going to call TPD to get me to sign the paperwork or get arrested. I did not sign the paperwork and TPD didn’t do anything, but watch me leave the building.

I am NOT perfect by any means and I’ve made many mistakes in the past with my own animals and fosters animals. EVERYONE makes mistakes with animals in their care and if you think you are perfect, then you need to take a step back and lower your own ego. EVERYONE has skeletons in their closet that they don’t want anyone to know about because if someone found out they’d be judged like I have been for months.

I am actively searching for permanent placement for all 6 fosters still in my rescues care and will under no circumstance place them in a shelter enviroment. I have multiple rescues searching for open foster placement and they have all offered assistance without belittling, harassing, targeting, or judging me.

The 2 photos of food were taken within the last month and I have more on my carport from a kind samaritan donating 100+ lbs of dog food and 50+ lbs of cat food (hard and soft).

For the entire nine years that Diesel lived, this lovable puppy was owned by a loving and caring family. Diesel came to the family as a little puppy and grew up to be a giant boy weighing more than 80 pounds. In order to protect her children and offer them a sense of normalcy in an unsettling situation, Diesel's mother did what she could for him and her family.

Diesel passed suddenly yesterday, and his mother had no idea what to do with his remains. Fortunately, our director came across the request for advice on one of the Tucson community groups. Nobody offered to come pick up the large guy; most folks just advised her to bury his remains or call animal control (and even they suggested she bury him).

Our director went to the owners home and assisted her in taking Diesels remains to the The Humane Society of Southern Arizona for cremation. If our director had not seen the post who knows what would have happened for the distraught owner.

Thank you Rescue Adoption Volunteers for accepting this cutie into your rescue.

Patches was originally adopted from Pima Animal Care Center by a homeless lady. A Good Samaritan saw the homeless lady mistreating patches and offered her $50 to surrender patches. The Good Samaritan cared for patches for many months and sadly had to surrender in the end due to a pending move across multiple states.

We were contacted in hopes we could give patches a soft landing before she goes off to the above rescue for a much needed decompression and a better suited home for her needs.

Today was the last day for our director to find placement for these 3 dogs. Unfortunately as of 2:30PM we have had no luck with this. We ask that you please share the original post or send to fellow rescue peeps to assist us with this.

Our director has advised us that we still have only raised $285/$1,000 that he wanted to pay down rescue debt. Now everyday that the fosters are housed with him he spends $7.50ish to feed them out of pocket.

This it party willing to cover the 3 senior kitties veterinary care, however she wants to attach a ultimatum that we only provide guidance to owners in need and never taken another animal into our directors home.

Offering assistance, but placing a ultimatum is not offering assistance but using tactics to get your way and in no way benefits the animals in the end. We are hoping that she has a change of heart and contacts ABC vaccine clinic to place a $225 credit on the rescues account to allow us to get the 3 senior kitties documented veterinary care.

We shall update as more information is commented or posted by Wendy.

Our senior kitties have transitioned from bathroom living to the big cat room at our directors home. Princess has found a great spot inside an unused dog kennel and Roxy has found a hiding spot in the big cat tree. Lucy unfortunately has gone into hiding and we couldn’t locate her for a photo op.

We are still actively looking for permanent placement for all three together or separately. All appear healthy and if we are able to raise $225 we can take them to ABC Vaccine Clinic for vaccines and SNAP testing.
