Call for Mystery Slide Submissions – ISVD Meeting, Bilbao 2025

The International Society of Veterinary Dermatopathology (ISVD) is excited to host its Mystery Slide Session at the European Veterinary Dermatology Congress in Bilbao, Spain, on Saturday, September 13, 2025. We invite ISVD members to submit unusual and interesting cases for presentation and discussion.

🔍 What We’re Looking For:
We encourage submissions of well-documented cases with strong clinical and histological workups, ideally including clinical follow-up. While granulomatous diseases are preferred, other topics are also welcome. Contributors will present their cases briefly, with the session moderated to facilitate audience and panel discussion.

📩 Submission Details:

Submit a short case description and representative images for review.
Deadline: Monday, March 31, 2025
Send submissions to Chiara Brachelente at [email protected]
📢 If Your Case is Selected:

Provide two H&E recut slides for digital scanning in advance.
Prepare a concise PowerPoint presentation (10 minutes + 5 minutes discussion) including:
✅ Case history & signalment
✅ Gross photographs
✅ Histologic features (special stains & immunohistochemistry, if available)
✅ Audience polling encouraged (ISVD provides access to www.polleverywhere.com)
❗ Please note: There is no speaker compensation for this session. However, your contributions will help advance knowledge and foster discussion within the ISVD community.

We look forward to your submissions and an engaging session in Bilbao! 🇪🇸🔬
