Meet the Team Monday: Rio Edition 🐎
Meet Rio, our retired performance horse and all-around wise guy! Rio may be small in stature, but he’s got a presence that fills any room. These days, he prefers peaceful trail walks and naps, but when he’s on the job, he’s a calming force in the herd. Rio’s a true example of quiet strength and loyalty, and his wisdom helps guide both the herd and our participants.

💙 GIVEBIG is May 6–7 and Early Giving is now open! — Help Sponsor a Hero 💙 This year, our Hooves and Heroes campaign is all about giving back to those who serve. We're raising funds to sponsor a veteran or first responder to take part in a session. Our programs are completely free to participants — but each session requires funding to cover facility fees, staff time, and care for our incredible herd 🐴. With your support, we can continue offering our space and programs for those who need it most.

Meet the Team Monday: Misty Edition 🐴
Meet Misty, our mini but mighty Program Ambassador! At just 6 years old, she’s a favorite at local fairs, parades, and events in the Stanwood-Camano area. Whether she's showing off her beautiful mane or helping engage with individuals of all abilities, Misty’s got a big personality in a small package. She’s also learning to pull a cart, creating even more ways to connect with our program! Want Misty at your next event? Let us know! 💙

Howie the Hero Horse takes on the Tulip Festival! 🌷
Fields of flowers? Yes, please! Howie trotted through rows of vibrant tulips, made a few new floral friends, and maybe tried to nibble a petal or two (don’t worry, he was very polite about it).

Thank you to the Ann Washington Chapter, DAR for having us this morning to speak about the history of horses and humans, in particular some fun facts about Blueskin, George Washington's preferred mount! We also shared information about our organization and the services we offer to Veterans and First Responders.
